If Dick Morris’ book is as perceptive as this piece, I better check out his book.
It is a bold move on her part, but one that may blow up in her face. In the hostile media environment she faces, she can ill afford to put herself, once again, at their mercy.
Sarah was going to be attacked by "hostile" types in and out of the media whether or not she stayed as Governor of Alaska. The attacks never abate completely, but they really intensify every time she appears on the national scene.
These people hate her and everything she represents. She is a threat to them.
There is a war against everything freedom loving Americans hold dear. I think Sarah has joined the battle to defend the country we were bequeathed by our Founders.
She can well expect enemy IEDs along her way. I don't think that will stop her. She has made it through refining fire already, and she has an opportunity now to connect with the American people on her own terms. And, does that scare "them"? You betcha.
