LOL

Hard to convince folks the stories about Valdez are true. I worked for a big telcom outfit and we paid a fellow to big out the 9 meter dish after every snowstorm.

I wish I had been able to keep a photo showing another dish on coastal Alaska buried all the up to the top - a 25 ft drift.

Skeeters are deadly, no doubt.

"Hard to convince folks the stories about Valdez are true."

Yah, my late hubby plowed snow in the winter and dirt in the summer. Any storm that didn't leave two or three feet was called a "flurry." Shoveling off the room of the trailer was THE un-fun job, because about halfway through, it never failed to rain. But it can snow hard enough there to completely smother a furnace stack between cycles. But, like we used to say, "If you like snow, you'll LOVE Valdez!"
