Just spoke with people VERY well connected with Palin's DC operation.
Reports that she has announced to staff that she is permanently out of politics are NOT true.
Three caviats:
1: She may have told Alaska staff that she is out of politics forever. 2: She may have told Alaska staff that she is out of ALASKA politics forever. 3: Word may have not filtered down to DC yet.
That said, senior DC people very close to her think she is very far from out of politics.
I agree totally. As I said she is first going to fight to get "conservative" congressional candidates elected in 2010, build her base and friendships, and show she has the power of "skirt tails". THEN she will openly run.
But what is important about your post is the fact that many people like myself want to change the sleazy ways of DC that mostly the Dems and many of the Pubbies seem comfortable with. We live in the internet age so these BS trips reps from both parties take need to be limited to official business and none of this six days of pleasure, one of "work".
Bills need to published for a minimum of a week before voted on. The argument that would delay the process is pure BS. The only delay would be the seven days after the first bill required to be posted. Lobbyists, etc. I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture.
MSNBC.....::::rolling eyes::::
I look forward to the day American people wean themselves from the trash that poses as “news”. In the meantime it would be nice if Freepers would do their part and turn the garbage off.
It came from Andrea Mitchell—after a 5-martini lunch.
Good rule!
The executive business in Alaska was being tied up by libs filing ethic violations left and right for no good reasons, only their hate. IIRC she had no violations prior to McCain tapping her last August. Since then she has had 15.
Passing off to her Lt. Governor whom she has much faith in and who will continue the job she got started, is in Alaska’s best interest. Also the Lt. Gov. will be in a good position to take on the opposition there come 2010.
May come as a shock to many both in and out of Alaska but it is a very wise choice both for Alaska and the country.
Andrea is not a big drinker.
Helen Thomas is smashed at Mama Ayesha’s in DC on cheap red wine most nights, but not Andrea.
On the other hand, Andrea has to sleep with Alan Greenspan every night.....
I privately FReemailed you my best Andrea Mitchel joke.
Oh,then...my apologies to Mrs. Greenspan.
I should have known better. Just because she looks plastered doesn’t mean she IS plastered!
I get the picture.
Sarah is going to blow the rinos out of the water....lol
Don’t know if she has it to be President, but the crowds love her.
Got fed up with the attacks on her a long time ago. I said to one person, “the more they hate her, the more we love her.”
I meant it then and it will stay that way. She needs to spend time studying the national/international issues no doubt.
Regardless, she speaks for many, many Americans.
re: I privately FReemailed you my best Andrea Mitchel joke.
Is that not really sick? Funny as hell, but sick!
Terrible joke.
How did she get caught in all those balloons if she was sober at the Convention?
I think that’s when the rumors of her drinking began on here.
She looked so disoriented.
Listen to her speech. She was pretty clear about why she was doing it. If she does quit politics she’s flushing a tremendous opportunity and she doesn’t seem the type. Only time will tell.
the more they hate her, the more we love her.
Great tagline material. I may swipe it.
Unk.
Well Sir, you may. But just remember, I said it first. :)
I mean it.

I mean it.
Just kidding.
But I can’t think of one as good as yours.
Well gee, thanks. When I used it, it left the Obama supporter speechless.
I think she was just stunned.
And I hope Sarah helps rebuild the message of freedom in America.
Regardless of what happens in the next presidential, I think she can play an important role in helping this country.
And we need it. Badly.
I watched the whole speech. Nothing disappointing at all. I have a strange suspicion Sarah is ramping up for a major counter-offensive.
