Andrea Mitchell reporting a number of sources tell her that Palin has notified her staff that she is done with political office for good.
Sarah said she is going to concentrate on a bottom up approach to politics, and that she was inspired by servicemen and women who make the military what it is. Sounds to me like the formation of a new party to me. She may not be leading it, but I think she will be a strong advocate and using her voice to organize it. The republican party is rotten to the core. She sees that and so do most of us here.
But, it’s the “People’s Moron”, sandpit, and that counts.
Only because those in her own party will hang her up.. yes.. they are exposed if they do.

That would be interesting if Palin is going for higher office and Andrea Mitchell has retired for good. Time will tell.

You’re right on the money! Sarah can now campaign in 2010 for opponents of the likes of Reid, Pelosi, etc and draw HUGE crowds. And along the way she becomes a HUGE national figure for 2012.
While I'm not sure that's the case, it's spot on. Decent people don't get into politics. We had the best Governor here in Missouri, I agreed with all his decisions. I was talking to a FReeper who had a friend who was closely associated with the family. The word he got was Governor Matt Blunt had had enough of dirty politics.
You just can't find an honest politician anymore - all the honest ones realize they can't be inside the den of iniquity without being touched by sin.

I listened to her speech and if you take what she said as the truth, then she said she is going to support those candidates who believe in what she believes in. And fight for issues she believes in.
While the pundits like to yip, yap, and mostly like to hear the sound of their own voice, the pundit’s analysis presented thus far seems to have totally ignored what Sarah Palin said.
I agree with you entirely. She’s running. Why else would she mention the whole fish swimming upstream bit and all. Quitting now gives her a chance to bone up on world politics, take MJ off the front page, and gives Alaska back to Alaskans.
