Actually, the ex-President was acting more illegally than my last post said. The Honduran Constitution only gives the Congress the right to call a referendum. Though the President's party had a majority, Congress refused to call the unlimited term referendum that the President wanted.

The Supreme Court ordered the Army not to participate in conducting the referendum, and the President fired the Army Chief of Staff, trying to reverse that decision, without success.

That is correct from all that I have read.

As a side note: I am extremely disappointed in Special Report w/Bret Bair and his panel tonight. He opened by calling it "the first military coup in years in Latin America" and had nothing about the true situation in the rest of the report. Krauthammer offered a weak exposition of the facts yet still called it a coup. Bill Kristol was actually stronger than Krauthammer but still weak and equivocal on the whole.

In sum total FOX News did not serve the truth.
