Passes 219-212, 8 Repuiblicans for it could have killed it. 3 not voting.
from wheresmychckbarry?: “May God have mercy on these politicians souls. They have now chosen self interest/absolute power over, not only the good, but the majority of the WANT, of the American people.
And may God guide and protect us as our republic crumbles.
Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do.....
And forgive us...because Lord, we believe, but
help us in our unbelief.
We had a good run...not the best in history...but it was a good run. April 1861 draws near....only it doesnt...for now we are but a generation of convenience, want and entitlement....
but do not fear my fellow Americans....American Idol auditions begin again in a few months
We had a good run.”
This has my vote for post of the year.
Ha thanks KingOfV....
sometimes the words of the heart write more than the words of the brain ever could....
Doesn`t surprise me RepublicRATS voted for this, look them up here http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2280336/posts maybe,IF the RepublicRATic coolaiders enabling this nightmare of a farce calling itself a “conservative” party, can pull their heads out of their @$$e$ and wipe the $#*t from their eyes, we`ll have a chance of stopping this in 2010 and turning this around in 2012.
Last week I asked, what will we do after we have cap-n-tax, single-payer healthcare, and the elimination of union secret ballot? When are we going to realize that calling, e-mailing, faxing, and teaparties will never work again?
You cannot recall elected federal politicians.
I’ve never heard of a liberal bill that got through the House but not the Senate.
I know. Colorado Markey still voted for the bill. She's from a district that is not purple, it's downright red. The only reason she's in is because 2008 was such a strong Dem year and the district had been carpet bombed with money for three straight elections as a very rich gay Dem had a grudge like Ahab against Musgrave for being active against gay marriage.
She's gonna hear about this vote in 2010.
Hearing about it and getting rid of her are two different things. Do you think she can be defeated?
I thought Ken Buck, Weld County D.A. would be very formidable against her, but he opted to run for Senate instead.
BANGS HEAD ON DESK
BANGS HEAD ON DESK
BANGS HEAD ON DESK
I tend to agree.
Sometimes “moderate” and “independent” voters need to be clubbed over the head with a dead fish or higher utility bills before they get it.
Libs don’t give a crap about people.
Yeah right. So was campaign finance reform
Normally I would say yes. However with a few conservative senators like Inhofe, DeMint, Vitter, Coburn, etc, I am hoping & praying that these 4 plus a few more conservative Repub senators can stiffen the jelly fish spines of the other Repubs and perhaps 2 of the demoRATS to defeat this job killer bill.
The other thing, is that the vote for this will be not be considered by the Senate until September as I understand it, and by that time we will likely be seeing >10% unemployment, more businesses failing, more economic bad news under 0booooooooombunism, which will also help to stiffen the spine of the RINO senators. I hate to see businesses and people (especially conservatives) suffer under 0booooooombunism, but unfortunately our country will need to suffer economically &politically in terms of our freedoms & liberties in order for the mass sheeple to rise up and throw out the socialist bastards & vote for good solid conservatives to undo the damage of 0boooooomba!
It’s not only a job killer, but it cedes sovereignty of the secretary of state and the secretary of energy to the United Nations and the Bali roadmap. It’s not only a job killer, it’s a Constitution killer and an American culture of freedom killer.
it cannot be revised enough. It cedes sovereignty to the United Nations. The whole bill has to be killed and the traitors who brought it to congress must pay.
