That is why some of the vitriol here is so ugly (to me). Isn’t there something about ‘walking a mile’ in another’s shoes? Can any of us imagine the life he led? Always somebody wanting something. Not a healthy way to live...mentally or physically. If he was abusing drugs, like Elvis, who can’t understand what ‘drove’ him over the edge?

There are so many lessons that can be drawn from his life and death. As for the vitriol it’s expected. The whole love your enemy thing, and judge not lest ye be judged is lost on some people.

The “life” he led?? Where’s my violin? He died living in a mansion! He brought 3 kids into his nightmare and made them live it!! At what point was he responsible for anything to do with his life?? Always someones fault...never his fault.

The “he was frail and an artist and sensitive” excuse can’t be used for all his choices....at least, for me it can’t.
