[Updated at 3:15 p.m.: Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.]
I just heard that Jeff Goldblum is dead. Anyone hear anything on this? (And yes, Franco is still dead)
I have to agree. It was all about money, wasn’t it?
At least, but if LAPD finds something interesting, get ready for a month or longer of this.
LAPD is saying 230 pm he was pronounced dead, LAPD Robbery Homicide is currently handling the death investigation, the coroner now has possession of the body.
LAPD says robbery homicide is involved as routine...LAPD, has no other comments due to the high profile....
Just saw a presser. Robbery Homicide did the search.

I thought I heard something about that.....wonder what is up?
Not a fan, but still sad news.
Drudge is reporting a shot of demerol, here we go, somebody injected him
Just due to the whole situation...
Excellant post. i agree.
How long before 0bama inserts himself into this story.
Strange as it may seem, I’m more upset over Michael’s death than Farrah’s.
I just always felt sad for him, like he was a lost soul adrift and looking for something he’d never find.
Farrah was just a mediocre actress who at least seemed to have a semi-happy, decent life. At least that’s more than some people (like Jackson) get.
Rest in peace, MJ. Your passing is truly untimely.
It is routine for them to investigate, but what was interesting is the comment the doctors would not sign the death certificate, and requested LAPDs assistance....
maybe a drug overdose that led to heart attack? Pain killer OD maybe? Painkillers and booze? time will tell. Way back around the time the MJ news broke this afternoon someone said that his heart attack was caused by a severe Electrolyte imbalance. The body salts. Who knows?
Fred Astaire said he was one of the best dancers he’d ever seen. He was admired by a larger group of people than just about any popular artist in history. Maybe Charlie Chaplin comes closest. And he’s another one who had accusations of pedophillia.
I know. Curiouser and curiouser...
“They’ll look hard at this due to insurance death policies, debt issues, and drugs, illegal and prescription drugs.”
Plural on policies for sure. I wonder what the event organizers got on him.
It's sad that Michael Jackson died but I did think about how this gave Sanford a media break if you will. You know the CNN amd especially MSNBC's would yapp about Sanford endlessly. This will cause them to talk about MJ.
