it never ends, ever

Well thankfully our expiring celebrity icons have wiped from our TVs all those uncomfortable photos of pesky Persians being massacred in the streets of Iran, saving our beloved leader further embarrassment for his chilly silence.

Farrah and Michael, giving right up to the end.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I never apologize to those who try to defend child molesters - especially when they try to hold up other child abusers as some sort of sick form of cover for Mr. Jackson.

In fact Borges should apologize to the thread for that reprehensible notion.

Tattle all you want to whomever you want. I suspect they would agree with my sentiments, seeing how I’m still here.

“I’m not excusing any misbehavior he may have done with young kids - but just dang, I loved ‘Thriller’”

Ha!

Amazing!

I loved the dancing, the storyline, his singing and I thought he was charming with that gal that played his date.

As I recall, that gal was a Playboy centerfold before they made that video.

I’m not defending child molestation. As you well known but perfer slanderous hyperbole.

I saw an interview with one of the jurors after the trial. She said they thought he did it, but voted to acquit because they didn't like the victim's mother.

Do I think he molested children? Yep. I think OJ did it, too. Trials are generally settled by the jury selection. That's why people who can afford it hire lawyers who do profiling of jury members.

He’s on Criminal Intent now. I’ve always enjoyed Jeff Goldblum. I loved him as the geeky People magazine photographer in “The Big Chill.”

I think you are right! I can’t believe some of these comments....

Me either. I made no comment on Jackson's life and I will not. Just that I liked his music. I'm close to his age and it brings back a lot of memories of my time growing up. I remember making macrame' bracelets at the Boys and Girls Club while listening to "Rockin' Robin," rollerskating to "I'll Be There," and dancing to all the Thriller tunes in my 20's. Nothing more, nothing less. All of the sudden I'm portrayed as a person with no taste that enjoys crotch-grabbing, vulgar music and idolizes celebrity culture. That couldn't be further from the truth. It's a sad story all the way around. Some posters remind me of vultures picking on a dead corpse. It's just the background music of the times of our youth. I'll let God sort out the stuff that is no longer any of my business.

"It’s just weird. Like there were 2 MJs. The one during the Jackson 5 and Thriller days and the one for the last 20 plus years."

All other things aside, I never liked his music anyway. That's just me.

He then leaned in close to me and said in a soft voice, "He IS guilty. It's all true. I used to work for him at Neverland. It was really bad, really bad." It was chilling to hear him say it, and in the sad, soft tone of voice he used. I believed him.

Now that is interesting news. Poor kids -- sold out by their parents.

Chaplin married Eugene O’Neill’s daughter Oona when she was around 17. He was in his mid 50s. They met earlier than that. Who know’s what happened but innuendo is a powerful thing.

That's it??? That's your evidence???

A hundred years ago that age difference wasn't all that uncommon.

Older available women were in very short supply, the population was thinned out pretty well by childbed fever (Despite Ignaz Semmelweis' plea for hygiene half a century before) and young men with enough wherewithal to start a family were few and very far between.

How many of the hypocrites here defending Mr. Jackson would have left their own young children alone with this guy.

This should be interesting to see the contortions they go through trying their moral relativity dance around that one.

I did say it was innuendo.

You're not being responsive to my point.

My point is that nobody here knows for a fact whether he's guilty or not, and since we don't know, do we hope it occurred, or do we hope it never occurred?

Can you answer that question?

I have no sexual molestation scars. I know many who do, however. I would wager most here know someone who was molested. It’s a huge problem, in case you didn’t know.

I’ve been around celebs since I was a child. I live in Southern California. My company serves a number of them. There just people. I’ve seen them drunk, seen them act stupid/do stupid things, smell bad, etc. It’s a big show and fame happens ONLY in the fan.

I don’t have the same ga-ga perspective as most, I guess.

He was a probable child-rapist in my estimation. I don’t give a damn about his record sales, FRiend.

Not knowing you, and probably able to find a couple people who know you that will trash your “reputation”, I’m certain you’d not be high on any list to be allowed unfettered access to children. It would be simple to smear you with innuendo and with tilted words. Be advised, the world does not love you and you are at the mercy of forces you cannot control.
