Shaun_MD “Thats why I never bought into the abuse allegations. He was such a trainwreck that he never matured. In his mind he was always that little boy and hence his desire to surround himself with children. It’s a textbook case. I doubt very strongly that he molested anyone.”

Yes, that’s why he agreed to pay massive sums of hush money to parents - cause “he didn’t do anything”.

Yeah right.

Saturation news coverage for the next week while the RATs burn down the country with Cap and Trade, appeasement for Iran and NoKo, more bailouts, etc....

Well, hey there!!! What took you so long? lol.

One does have to wonder those things, you are right. I never understood this kind of adoration of anyone.

As far as talent goes, I never heard it, but if some thought he had it, so be it.

*shrug* I can’t help myself.

FWIW, I expect my FReeper FRiends to roast me before I fully reach room temperature.

Don’t disappoint me.

Why? All I see is you doing is exercising your 1st Amendment rights.

The same people hear mourning the freak molester are also the same ones who support the right of Family Guy to bust on Christians.

But they don’t want anyone busting on baby-dangle man.

Too bad. People don’t have the right to be free from being offended. I bet some of the same people defending Jackson also defend “Piss Christ”. Some of you might know what that is.

What little boy likes girls? I don’t know about you but at that age, I found them quite disgusting.

“...it’s not a sure thing that he was guilty.”

As I mentioned, he bought his way out with the ‘settlements’.

Why do this if there wasn’t evidence?

And don’t give me the “bad press” or “PR nightmare” crap, he was guilty.

We know the parents were stupid already to let a grown man spend time alone with their children. Offered the right amount and they took their damaged child on a long vacation and call it luck, the f***ing dregs.

Give me a break.

He just hung around them incessantly to play with him in “Neverland” and feed his lamas, right?

Exactly....but, his fans and handlers will always blame the victims. It enabled him to molest at will. That, and the parents who willingly turned their little boys over to him. Lots of sick, sick people in this world.

I like to think the best of people, so I too doubted the story. Especially after the reports about the kid's mom being a shake-down artist came out. I really don't know if MJ did it or not. I hope he didn't, but only he & the kid really know.

Just sad.

I admittedly have not read through this thread, so if any others have addressed this I apologize. But how is it possible with all of the important issues going on in our world that the passing of a pop music singer, especially one with the legal history of this one, prompts a thread of more than 1100 posts? I find that not only surprising but pretty disturbing as well.

It’s a huge story whether you like it or not. There are massive vigils throughout the country and all over the world.

People should be mourning people like Neda, and the other victims of the Iranian madmen.

Singers perform music. Musicians create music.

I must disagree. Many vocalists, especially opera singers but also popular singers, refer to their voices as their "instrument." And not all instrumentalists "create" music in the sense that composers do. But Michael wrote many of his songs, arranged and directed music for a variety of instruments. He was most certainly a musician; and so are all accomplished vocalists.
