Had Americans been able to stop obsessing over the color of Barack Obama's skin and instead paid more attention to his cultural identity, maybe he would not be in the White House today. The key to understanding him lies with his identification with his father, and his adoption of a cultural and political mindset rooted in postcolonial Africa.
The Communist. Frank Marshall Davis: The Untold Story of Barack Obamas Mentor
I must note that it was also through this group that Davis would work with Robert Taylor, who just happened to be the grandfather of Valerie Jarrett.
FP: Thats remarkable. Valerie Jarrett today is Obamas right-hand woman in the White House.
Kengor: Yes, and its even more eerie than that. Frank Marshall Davis, Obamas mentor, also worked with Vernon Jarrett in these circles. Vernon Jarrett was Valeries father-in-law. And its worse still. Davis, Obamas mentor, also worked with Harry and David Canter, two other Chicago communists. The Canters mentored a young man named David Axelrod in Chicago in the 1970s. So, the troika thats arguably running America todayObama and Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrodall have common bonds in Chicagos communist circles from the 1940s. Their mentors knew each other.
I know this is incredible, but its true. You couldnt make this up. No one would believe it. Were being governed by ghosts from Chicagos Communist Party glory years.
FP: Are there other people that Frank Marshall Davis worked with in Chicago who have relevance today?
Kengor: Oh, yes, I could go on and on. At the Chicago Star, the communist newspaper for which he wrote and was the founding editor-in-chief (1946-48), Davis regularly shared the op-ed page with Senator Claude Red Pepper, who at that exact time was writing the bill to nationalize healthcare in the United Stateswhich Davis himself advocated in his columns. By the way, Peppers chief of staff, who wrote that bill, was Charles Kramer, who we now know was working for the KGB under the codename mole.
Another Davis comrade at the Star was William Patterson, who actually mentored Frank Marshall Davis and was probably more important than any other figure in bringing Davis into the Party.
FP: William Patterson was a hardcore communist.
Kengor: Yes, and among his legacies is the Kremlins Peoples Friendship University, which he helped plan in the 1960s. Peoples Friendship University became better known as the Patrice Lumumba Friendship University, a Kremlin grooming school for third-world revolutionaries. This university, the third largest in the USSR, schooled some of the worlds leading terrorists. Distinguished alumni include Irans Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, whose doctoral thesis became a book, The Other Side: The Secret Relations between Nazism and the Leadership of the Zionist Movement. According to Abbas, only a few hundred thousand Jews were killed in the Holocaust, and those mostly through Nazi-Zionist collusion. Other proud alumni include Carlos the Jackal, Mohamed Boudia, and Henry Ruiz, Nicaraguan Sandinista commander and economic planner-in-chief.
For the record:
EVEN LENIN HAD AN AXELROD. (but its wiki, so be careful)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pavel_Axelrod
... Axelrod co-founded the Marxist group Emancipation of Labor in Switzerland with his lifelong friend Georgi Plekhanov and Vera Zasulich in 1883. In 1900, Axelrod, Plekhanov and Zasulich joined forces with younger revolutionary Marxists Julius Martov, Vladimir Lenin and Alexander Potresov and the six edited Iskra, a Marxist newspaper, from 1900 to 1903...
(He died in Berlin in 1928, probably no connection to):
DAVID AXELROD - KEYWIKI:
Early life/Leftist parents
Axelrod was born in New York in 1955 to leftist parents Joseph Axelrod and Myril Bennett Axelrod. He went to Stuyvesant High School and then studied political science at the University of Chicago.[1]
Axelrods Mother
In the 1940s Myril Axelrod wrote for a left leaning magazine New York magazine, PM. though not officially a communist publication, several Marxists (including labour editor Leo Huberman) and Communist Party USA members worked on the paper.
Former Communist Eugene Lyons, writing in The Red Decade: The Stalinist Penetration of America, noted that PMs staff included a former editor of the Daily Worker, former editor of The Communist, a leader of the Young Communist League USA, a Soviet government official and a former staff cartoonist for the Daily Worker, the official newspaper of the Communist Party USA.[2]
PMs Washington DC correspondent I. F. Stone was later identified as a Communist Party USA member and a Soviet intelligence agent.
One of PMs writers, Earl Conrad, also wrote for the leftist magazine Negro Story, as did Frank Marshall Davis the Communist Party USA member who was later to mentor the young Barack Obama in Hawaii.
Forward! with Obama, Axelrod, Jarrett and Frank Marshall Davis
EXCERPT:
Well, Axelrod is likewise a product of this Chicago world, including (to some degree) the communist influences. Axelrod was mentored by David Canter. David and his father, Harry, were part of Chicagos communist orbit. Harry had been secretary of Bostons Communist Party, and both father and son spent the 1930s in Moscow, where Harry he worked for the Soviet government as a translator of Lenins writings. Harry was among the small group that purchased the Chicago Star from Frank Marshall Davis in September 1948. Harry was familiar to Star readers. Among other instances, he appeared in the April 28, 1947 edition, wishing May Day Greetings to fellow comrades. Davis would have joined Harry at that May Day parade in Chicago. Davis editorialized in support of the 1947 May Day.
Both Harry and David Canter, like Davis, worked in the communist publishing world. In fact, David Canter worked with Frank Marshall Davis and also with Vernon Jarrett, Valerie Jarretts father-in-law as a writer for the communist-controlled Packinghouse Workers Union.
#1009: David Canter was the lefts choice for editor of the University of Chicago student newspaper Maroon in 1948.
Does 1979 newspaper column shed light on 2008 campaign story?
FRANK MIELE/Daily Inter Lake | Updated 8 months ago
Searching old newspapers is one of my favorite pastimes, and I have tried to use them many times to shed light on current events or to inform readers about how the past is prologue to our very interesting present-day quandaries.
Recently, I came across a syndicated column from November 1979 that seemed to point 30 years into the future toward an obscure campaign issue that arose briefly in the 2008 presidential campaign.
Though by no means definitive, it provides an interesting insight, at least, into how Chicago politics intersected with the black power movement and Middle Eastern money at a certain point in time. Whether it has any greater relevance to the 2012 presidential campaign, I will allow the reader to decide. In order to accomplish that, I will also take the unusual step of providing footnotes and the end of this column so that each of you can do the investigative work for yourself.
The column itself had appeared in the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Evening Independent of Nov. 6, but it was the work of a veteran newspaperman who at the time was working for the prestigious Chicago Tribune and whose work was syndicated nationally. (1)
So far as I know, this 1979 column has not previously been brought to light, but it certainly should be because it broke some very interesting news about the rumored billions of dollars the oil-rich Arab nations are supposed to unload on American black leaders and minority institutions. The columnist quoted a black San Francisco lawyer who said, Its not just a rumor. Aid will come from some of the Arab states.
Well, if anyone would know, it would have been this lawyer Donald Warden, who had helped defend OPEC in an antitrust suit that year and had developed significant ties with the Saudi royal family since becoming a Muslim and taking the name Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour.
Al-Mansour told Jarrett that he had presented the proposed special aid program to OPEC Secretary-General Rene Ortiz in September 1979, and that the first indications of Arab help to American blacks may be announced in December. Maybe so, but I looked high and wide in newspapers in 1979 and 1980 for any other stories about this aid package funded by OPEC and never found it verified.
You would think that a program to spend $20 million per year for 10 years to aid 10,000 minority students each year, including blacks, Arabs, Hispanics, Asians and native Americans would be referred to somewhere other than one obscure 1979 column, but I havent found any other word of it.
Maybe the funding materialized, maybe it didnt, but whats particularly noteworthy is that this black Islamic lawyer who for several years [had] urged the rich Arab kingdoms to cultivate stronger ties to Americas blacks by supporting black businesses and black colleges and giving financial help to disadvantaged students was also the same lawyer who allegedly helped arrange for the entrance of Barack Obama into Harvard Law School in 1988.
That tale had surfaced in 2008 when Barack Obama was a candidate for president and one of the leading black politicians in the country Percy Sutton of New York told an interviewer on a Manhattan TV news show that he had been introduced to Obama by a friend who was raising money for him. The friends name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas. He is the principal adviser to one of the worlds richest men. He told me about Obama. (2)
This peculiar revelation engendered a small hubbub in 2008, but was quickly dismissed by the Obama campaign as the ditherings of a senile old man. I dont believe President Obama himself ever denied the story personally, and no one has explained how Sutton came up with this elaborate story about Khalid al-Mansour if it had no basis in fact, and in any case al-Mansour no longer denies it. (3)
Back in 2008, while actually supporting Hillary Clinton in the New York primary, Percy Sutton was interviewed on TV and said that he thought Barack Obama was nonetheless quite impressive. He also revealed that he had first heard about Obama 20 years previously in a letter where al-Mansour wrote, there is a young man that has applied to Harvard. I know that you have a few friends up there because you used to go up there to speak. Would you please write a letter in support of him?
Sutton concluded in the interview, I wrote a letter of support of him to my friends at Harvard, saying to them I thought there was a genius that was going to be available and I certainly hoped they would treat him kindly.
Until now, there really has been no context within which to understand the Sutton story or to buttress it as a reliable account other than the reputation of Sutton himself as one of the top leaders of the black community in Manhattan himself a noted attorney, businessman and politician. But the new discovery of the 1979 column that established Khalid al-Mansours interest in creating a fund to give financial help to disadvantaged students does provide a clue that he might indeed along with his patron, Arab Prince Alwaleed bin Talal have taken an interest in the genius Barack Obama.
It also might be considered more than coincidence that the author of that 1979 newspaper column was from Chicago, where Barack Obama settled in 1986 a few years after his stint at Columbia University. It is certainly surprising that the author of that column was none other than Vernon Jarrett, the future (and later former) father-in-law of Valerie Jarrett, who ultimately became the consigliere of the Obama White House.
It is also noteworthy that Vernon Jarrett was one of the best friends and a colleague of Frank Marshall Davis, the former Chicago journalist and lifelong communist who moved to Hawaii in the late 1940s and years later befriended Stanley and Madelyn Dunham and their daughter Stanley Ann, the mother of Barack Obama. (4)
And to anyone who has the modicum of a spark of curiosity, it is surely intriguing that Frank Davis took an active role in the rearing of young Barack from the age of 10 until he turned 18 and left Hawaii for his first year of college at Occidental College in Los Angeles. (5)
It is also at least suggestive that Obama began that college education as a member of the highly international student body of Occidental College in 1979, the same year when Vernon Jarrett was touting the college aid program being funded by OPEC and possibly Prince Alwaleed. The fact that President Obama has studiously avoided releasing records of his college years is suggestive also, but has no evidentiary value in the present discussion. (6)
The nature of Vernon Jarretts relationship to Khalid al-Mansour is likewise uncertain, but it is very likely they had known each other as leaders of the black civil-rights movement for many years. Under his previous name of Donald Warden, al-Mansour had founded the African American Association in the Bay Area in the early 1960s. He had also helped inspire the Black Panther Party through his association with black-power leaders such as Huey Newton and Bobby Seale. Seale, of course, had a famous association with Chicago later, when he was part of the Chicago Eight charged with conspiracy and inciting to riot at the Democratic National Convention in 1968. (7)
In any case, it doesnt matter if Vernon Jarrett and Khalid al-Mansour had a personal relationship or not. For some reason, al-Mansour had used Jarrett as the messenger to get out the word about his efforts to funnel Arab oil money to black students and minority colleges at about the same time that Barack Obama began his college career. That doesnt mean either Jarrett or al-Mansour knew Obama at that time, but eight years later when Obama was a rising star in Chicago, a friend of Bill Ayers and Valerie Jarrett, it is much more likely that he did indeed have the assistance of very important people in his meteoric rise. The words of Percy Sutton about what al-Mansour told him regarding Obama certainly have the ring of truth:
His introduction was there is a young man that has applied to Harvard. I know that you have a few friends back there... Would you please write a letter in support of him? (Thats before Obama decided to run.) ... and he interjected the advice that Obama had passed the requirements, had taken and passed the requirements necessary to get into Harvard and become president of the Law Review. Thats before he ever ran for anything. And I wrote a letter in support of him to my friends at Harvard, saying to them that I thought there was a genius that was going to be available and I certainly hoped they would treat him kindly... (2)
What possible significance could all this have? We may never know, but Vernon Jarrett, back in 1979, thought that OPECs intention to fund black and minority education would have huge political ramifications. As Jarrett wrote:
The question of financial aid from the Arabs could raise a few extremely interesting questions both inside and outside the black community. If such contributions are large and sustained, the money angle may become secondary to the sociology and politics of such an occurrence. (1)
He was, of course, right.
As Jarrett suggests, any black institutions and presumably individuals who became beholden to Arab money might be expected to continue the trend of American new black advocacy for a homeland for the Palestinians and presumably for other Islamic and Arabic interests in the Middle East. For that reason, if for no other, the question of how President Obamas college education was funded is of considerably more than academic interest.

Malcolm X had been a pimp, a cocaine addict and a thief. He was an unashamed demagogue. His gospel was hatred: Your little babies will get polio! he cried to the white devils. His creed was violence: If ballots wont work, bullets will.
Yet even before his bullet-ripped body went to its grave, Malcolm X was being sanctified. Negro leaders called him brilliant, said he had recently moderated his views, blamed his assassination on the white power structure or, in the case of Martin Luther King, on a society sick enough to express dissent with murder. Malcolms death, they agreed, was a setback to the civil rights movement.
Alias John Doe. In fact, Malcolm X in life and in deathwas a disaster to the civil rights movement.
Malcolms murder, almost certainly at the hands of the Black Muslims from whom he had defected, came on a bright Sunday afternoon in full view of 400 Negroes in the Audubon Ballroom, a seedy two-story building on Manhattans upper Broadway. Characteristically, he had kept his followers waiting for nearly an hour while he lingered over tea and a banana split at a nearby Harlem restaurant.
Entering the auditorium at last, Malcolm cried As-salaam alaikum [Peace be unto you]. The audience replied in unison: Wa-alaikum salaam [And unto you be peace]. Suddenly a disturbance broke out several rows back. Get your hand off my pockets! a man shouted. Dont be messing with my pockets! At the distraction, Malcolm raised his hands. Now brothers! he cried, Be cool, dont get excited . . .
As he spoke, three men rushed down the aisle toward him. Eight feet away, they opened fire. One Negro with a double-barreled sawed-off shotgun blasted Malcolm at point-blank range. There was what sounded like an explosion, said a dazed woman. I looked at Malcolm, and there was blood running out of his goatee. Men and women threw themselves to the floor as the gunmen squeezed off at least a score of shots. Thirteen shotgun pellets tore into Malcolms chest and heart; several slugs from .45-and .38-cal. pistols shattered his thighs and legs. A woman screamed: Oh, black folks, black folks, why you got to kill each other?
The man with the shotgun was hit in the left leg by a bullet from the pistol of a Malcolm X bodyguard. Crippled, he was caught by Malcolm Xs furious followers, knocked down, kicked and stomped on. Cops rescued him, took him to a hospital, and charged him with homicide. He was Thomas Hagan, alias Talmadge Hayer, a New Jersey thug with a dreary police record.
Minutes after the shooting, Malcolms body was lifted from the stage, placed on a rolling bed that had been wheeled over from the nearby Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and rushed to an emergency operating room. A team of doctors laid open his chest, tried to revive him via open-heart massage. But Malcolm X was dead. Because he had not yet been formally identified, he was at first entered on hospital records as John Doe.
That White Rapist. The man who lived as Malcolm X and died as John Doe was born Malcolm Little, in Omaha on May 19, 1925. His father was a Baptist preacher and an enthusiast for Black Nationalist Marcus Garveys Back to Africa movement. The family moved to Lansing, Mich., where, Malcolm claimed, white racists set fire to his parents home in 1929. Two years later, when Malcolm was six, his father was run over by a streetcar, his body cut almost in half. Police called it an accident, but Malcolm insisted that his father had been bludgeoned by whites and placed across the tracks. Soon afterward his mother was committed to a mental asylum in Michigan.
In his youth, Malcolm prided himself on his reddish hair and light skin, an inheritance from his maternal grandfather, a white man. Years later he wrote in his autobiography: I was for years insane enough to feel that it was some kind of status symbol to be light-complexioned. Now I hate every drop of that white rapists blood that is in me.
He quit school after the eighth grade, eventually made his way to New York. Nicknamed Big Red, he was a gangling zoot-suiter who fancied yellow-toed shoes and straightened his hair with lye in a scalp-searing process called conking. He worked briefly as a waiter at Smalls Paradise, still one of Harlems top nightspots. But an honest dollar was not for Malcolm Little. He was caught pimping on the side and fired. He thereupon turned himself into a full-time hustler whose specialties were fixing up white men with Negro whores and Negro men with white whores. He peddled marijuana, became a cocaine addict and, to satisfy his $20-a-day craving, took to burglary. In 1946 he wound up with a ten-year prison sentence in Boston.
Bleached-Out. At the gloomy state prison in Charlestown, Malcolm copied a dictionary from A to Z. He wanted to improve his vocabulary, and he did. He was to become a spellbinding speaker.
More important, he learned in prison about the Black Muslims, an extremist sect founded in Detroit in 1930 by a shadowy peddler named W. D. Fard, and ruled since Fards mysterious disappearance in 1934 by Elijah Muhammad. The Muslims offered Malcolm what Marcus Garvey had offered his fatherand then some. They had caparisoned their movement with the trappings of religion, along with a mythology holding that the first human beings were Negroes. Other racesred, yellow and whiteresulted only after a wicked and long-lived scientist named Yacub succeeded over many generations of genetic experiments in achieving a bleached-out white race of people.
Paroled in 1952 after serving six years, Malcolm Little became Malcolm X,* loudly acclaimed the Muslims professed prohibitions against tobacco, alcohol and pre- or extra-marital sex. He shrugged off his sordid past on the ground that it was all done when I was part of the white mans Christian world. In 1958, he married a Muslim Sister named Betty Shabazz before a justice of the peace in Michigan. An old hunchbacked white devil performed the wedding, Malcolm said later, and all of the witnesses were devils. At the time of Malcolms death, Betty was pregnant and the mother of four children: Daughter Attilah, named after the Hun; Daughter Quiblah, after Kublai Khan; Daughter Ilyasah, Arabic for Elijah; and Daughter Lamumbah, named after the Congos wild-eyed Patrice Lumumba.
Savage Speaker. Malcolm soon proved one of Elijah Muhammads best recruitersin an organization that, then and now, desperately needed recruits. The Black Muslims had received little public notice until the civil rights movement and its street demonstrations catapulted them into the news. Today, Black Muslims claim up to 250,000 members. A much more accurate estimate would accord the group 2,000 in New York, 500 in Chicago, 350 in Los Angeles, 230 in Detroit, 220 in Washington, 150 in both St. Louis and San Francisco, 100 in Kansas City, under 100 in each of 70 other cities, including Atlanta, New Orleans, Memphis and Jacksonville. Still, it is a nice racket for Elijah, son of a Georgia sharecropper. He socks each member for $8.30 in dues a week, requires each to sell (or pay for) as many as 200 copies of the 200 Muslim newspaper every two weeks, saddles everybody with an additional $125 assessment for Saviors Day, Feb. 26.
Malcolm was also a savage speaker. After the 1962 plane crash in France that killed 121 whites from Georgia, he rose before a Los Angeles audience and said: I would like to announce a very beautiful thing that has happened. I got a wire from God today. He really answered our prayers over in France. He dropped an airplane out of the sky with over 120 white people on it because the Muslims believe in an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. We will continue to pray and we hope that every day another plane falls out of the sky.
The Comeuppance. In demand as a speaker, not just among Negroes but before white civic groups and on college campuses, Malcolm gained in popularity and became a threat to Elijah Muhammads leadership of the Black Muslims.
All Elijah wanted was a chance to give Malcolm his comeuppanceand in 1963 Malcolm offered him the opportunity. After President Kennedys assassination, Malcolm publicly called the murder a case of the chickens coming home to roost. Cried he: Being an old farm boy myself, chickens coming home to roost never did make me sad; theyve always made me glad.
This was outrageous enough for Elijah to suspend Malcolm from the Black Muslim movement. Malcolm quit for keeps, soon had formed his own white-hating Organization of Afro-American Unity, and urged Negroes to form rifle clubs.
Malcolm, who made a point of getting along well with the press, also began leaking stories of immorality among the Muslims. In an open letter, he accused Elijah of having fathered eight illegitimate babies by six teen-age secretaries at Black Muslim headquarters in Chicago. Other defectorsincluding two of Elijahs sonsbegan following Malcolm out of the sect. Naturally, this did not sit well with Elijah. Only those who wish to be led to hell, or to their doom, will follow Malcolm, said his biweekly newspaper, Muhammad Speaks. The die is set, and Malcolm shall not escape.
Premonitions & Bombs. From the moment he left the Black Muslims, Malcolm had premonitions of mortality. No one can get out without trouble, he said. This thing with me will be resolved by death and violence. For once he was right. Two weeks ago, in the dead of night, fire bombs gutted Malcolms home in East Elmhurst, N.Y., forcing him to flee with his family in nightclothes. Malcolm blamed it on the Muslims; they, in turn, accused Malcolm of planting the bombs in the house himself, partly for publicity purposes, partly because they had lent him the house in the first place and were now about to evict him.
For a few days the Malcolm X family stayed with friends. On the eve of his death, Malcolm checked into an $18-a-day room at the New York Hilton. Within a few hours, three Negroes turned up in the lobby, began questioning a bellhop about his room number. They left when hotel detectives started taking an interest in their interest. Next day Malcolm X left the hotel for a speaking engagementat the Audubon Ballroom.
Good as Their Word. At the time of his death, Malcolm X had a hard-core following of no more than 100but he was more or less admired by thousands who, deep in their hearts, were pleased by his denunciations of the white devil. He will be avenged, said his half sister Mrs. Ella Mae Collins. We are going to repay them for what they did to Malcolm, said Leon 4X Ameer, another turncoat Black Muslim who had a score of his own to set tlea Christmas beating in Boston by karate-skilled bullyboys of the Fruit of Islam, the Black Muslim enforcement elite. Added Leon 4X: I dont know if Elijah will live out the month.
In their vows of revenge, the Malcolm X followers were as good as their word. In Harlem, less than 36 hours after the murder, a fire bomb tossed from an adjacent rooftop through an upper window of the Black Muslims Mosque No. 7 sent flames shooting 30 feet into the night sky, gutted the building. Six firemen were hurt when a wall caved in, and 320 cops rushed to Harlem from three boroughs under a rapid mobilization order after the alarm was sounded. In San Francisco, another mosque was set ablaze, but firemen quickly doused it.
In Chicago, Elijah, a pint-sized (120 Ibs.), asthmatic man of 67, professed unconcern, despite rumors that six pro-Malcolm triggermen were after him. We are innocent of Malcolms death, he said. Malcolm died of his own preaching. He preached violence, and violence took him away. Despite Elijahs protestations of Black Muslim innocence, New York police arrested and charged with Malcolms murder a Negro named Norman 3X Butler, described as a Black Muslim enforcer. When arrested, Norman 3X was free on $10,000 bail in the nonfatal January shooting in New York of another Black Muslim defector.
Human Shield. Chicago police ringed Elijah Muhammads 19-room, $50,000 red brick mansion on the South Side, reconnoitered nearby Muslim buildings. When a delivery truck pulled up to Elijahs house with what the driver said was a grandfather clock, the police bomb squad rushed to the scene. They found that it was indeed a grandfather clock, a gift from Muslim women in Philadelphia.
What worried the police the most, though, was how to protect Elijah at the Muslims annual convention in the Chicago Coliseum last weekend. An anonymous caller warned, We have arrived. Muhammad will have a lively convention. Police combed the convention hall for bombs, quintupled their security detail to 45 men, ordered 50 more to stand by. Elijah, said one cop, will have as much security as if he were President Johnson.
When the convention opened, Elijah drove the four miles in the midst of an eleven-car motorcade, was surrounded by a phalanx of Fruit of Islam members inside the hall. Newsmen were frisked head to toe before entering, even had their shoes checked for hollowed-out heels. Lining the fern-decorated stage and directly below it was a human shield of 55 Fruit of Islam guards, and scores more patrolled the aisles.
The convention itself was a dud. The hall, with a seating capacity of some 7,500, was less than half filled. Elijah Muhammad could hardly be seen behind the ranks of his bodyguards as he delivered a wheezy, two-hour harangue highlighted by a warning to would-be assassins that to seek to snuff out the life of Elijah Muhammad is to invite doom. On the conventions second day, Elijah failed to appear. The explanation: his asthma had kicked up again.
As for Malcolm Little-Malcolm X-John Doe, he was buried as Al Hajj Malik Shabazz, the name he earned in 1964 by making his pilgrimage to Mecca and being received as a true believer. He wore the white robe that signified his faith. In the four days before his burial, more than 20,000 persons, almost all Negroes, filed past his body as it lay on view in a glass-topped, wrought-copper casket. Following Muslim custom, when Malcolm was buried in suburban Westchesters Ferncliff Cemetery, his head was to the east, toward Mecca.
*As Malcolm explained, the X replaces the white slave-master name which had been imposed upon my paternal forebears by some blue-eyed devil. With only a letter of the alphabet to serve as a surname, Muslims with the same given name add numbers before the X to keep one another sorted out. There is, for example, a James 67X. There are, however, Muslims with such surnames as Ali or Shabazz.
“The Communist. Frank Marshall Davis: The Untold Story of Barack Obamas Mentor

According to Abbas, only a few hundred thousand Jews were killed in the Holocaust, and those mostly through Nazi-Zionist collusion. Other proud alumni include Carlos the Jackal, Mohamed Boudia, and Henry Ruiz, Nicaraguan Sandinista commander and economic planner-in-chief.”

I do remember this...it was ground breaking... You were ahead on this Fred... pretty amazing. But at any point did you feel the communist connection touched the idea of ‘vast right wing conspiracy’ or the Southern Poverty Law Center?
To an Australian, neither terms have much if any meaning. The idea of 'a vast right wing conspiracy' belongs in a comic book imo, and what the heck is the 'Southern Poverty Law Centre'?
Communists, on the other hand, like stupidity, are universal.
LOL - I like that Fred...
The real Eric Holder part of armed takeover of Columbia University ROTC office in 1973
So who is the real Eric Holder? Aside from illegal running guns to Mexico resulting in the death of at least two Americans and hundreds of Mexicans, hes also the head of a department that secretly taps phones of reporters. Eric Holder has called America a nation of cowards shortly after being appointed by Obama to be Attorney General in 2009. But theres more about Eric Holder that the press still wouldnt tell you about. Back in 1973, while a radical at Columbia University Eric Holder participated in armed five-day takeover of former Columbia University ROTC office. Holder was part of a radical leftist group called Student Afro-American Society (SAAS). Why did they do their five day occupation of the ROTC office in 73? Because they wanted it renamed to the Malcolm X Lounge. Of course Malcolm X was a racist, anti-Semitic radical back in those days...READ MORE
President Obamas outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder made an eyebrow-raising book recommendation in his exit interview with Politico on Friday.
Asked by Politicos Mike Allen to name the one book Holder would recommend for a young man coming to Washington to read, Holder recommended the work of controversial civil rights figure Malcolm X.

Malcolm X with Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer
In December, 1964, representatives of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party toured Northern cities seeking moral, political and financial support for their campaign to block the seating of Mississippi’s five segregationist U. S. representatives when Congress convened on January 4, 1965.
In Harlem, an ad hoc committee supporting the Freedom Democratic Party campaign organized a rally on December 20, 1964. The chief speaker was Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer, MFDP candidate for Congress, whose personal testimony about racist brutality had attracted wide attention at the Democratic Party national convention in August, 1964. The meeting was held at the Williams Institutional CME Church in Harlem, with the audience about one-third white.
Malcolm X spoke too, after Mrs. Hamer’s moving address and after the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee’s Freedom Singers had presented various songs, including “Oginga Odinga of Kenya.”
Rev. [Joseph] Coles [Jr.], Mrs. Hamer, honored guests, brothers and sisters, friends and enemies; also ABC and CBS and FBI and CIA:
I couldn’t help but be very impressed at the outstart when the Freedom Singers were singing the song “Oginga Odinga” because Oginga Odinga is one of the foremost freedom fighters on the African continent. At the time he visited in Atlanta, Georgia, I think he was then the minister of home affairs in Kenya. But since Kenya became a republic last week, and Jomo Kenyatta ceased being the prime minister and became the president, the same person you are singing about, Oginga Odinga, is now Kenyatta’s vice president. He’s the number-two man in the Kenya government.
The fact that you would be singing about him, to me is quite significant. Two or three years ago, this wouldn’t have been done. Two or three years ago, most of our people would choose to sing about someone who was, you know, passive and meek and humble and forgiving. Oginga Odinga is not passive. He’s not meek. He’s not humble. He’s not nonviolent. But he’s free.
Oginga Odinga is vice president under Jomo Kenyatta, and Jomo Kenyatta was considered to be the organizer of the Mau Mau; I think you mentioned the Mau Mau in that song. And if you analyze closely those words, I think you’ll have the key to how to straighten the situation out in Mississippi. When the nations of Africa are truly independent — and they will be truly independent because they’re going about it in the right way — the historians will give Prime Minister, or rather, President Kenyatta and the Mau Mau their rightful role in African history. They’ll go down as the greatest African patriots and freedom fighters that that continent ever knew, and they will be given credit for bringing about the independence of many of the existing independent states on that continent right now. There was a time when their image was negative, but today they’re looked upon with respect and their chief is the president and their next chief is the vice president.
I have to take time to mention that because, in my opinion, not only in Mississippi and Alabama, but right here in New York City, you and I can best learn how to get real freedom by studying how Kenyatta brought it to his people in Kenya, and how Odinga helped him, and the excellent job that was done by the Mau Mau freedom fighters. In fact, that’s what we need in Mississippi. In Mississippi we need a Mau Mau. In Alabama we need a Mau Mau. In Georgia we need a Mau Mau. Right here in Harlem, in New York City, we need a Mau Mau.
