His family & friends must be mortified. I don’t even feel sorry for him. He’s still attached to Argentina — he’s defensive about her and wanted to discuss details.

This is too bad. I liked Sanford and had high hopes that he would advance to positions of more influence.

It’s interesting that he has developed this relationship over several years. Sadly, adultery can start in the mind and heart long before it manifests into action.

My take is that 1) I am glad this came out now, not later in the 2012 cycle and 2) He outed himself. On purpose. NO way he did not know that taking off for almost a week would go unnoticed given his recent fight with “the one”.
