I’m offering MY apology, upon hearing bits and pieces of what the Governor is saying. It was an affair. I wanted him to be able to explain the situation. Believe me, he has let me down with this, because it has destroyed his viability for 2012, and worse than that, it has harmed his family.

I’m not sure what you mean by that. I, as a Christian, would definitely counsel against infidelity, and I’m certain that most of my Christian friends would as well. Being a Christian and speaking out against infidelity doesn’t make one “scum”. Perhaps I misunderstood your post to me.

thank you. seriously, for being big enough to apologize. next time please do not paint us the villains in questioning male politician’s behavior, it happens FAR too often that they cannot keep themselves in their pants. it was NOT beyond the pale to suspect this. i wished he could explain the situation also, but it was not looking likely.

It all started when a GOP state senator(Knotts), who does not like Sanford, decided he would contact the press and tell the State (SC newspaper) that Sanford was missing and it was a terrible calamity. Step 2 is media interview the Dems to get their “reaction”. I think he should let a few people know what he is up to in order to avoid this type of scene. However all of this is designed to damage him, even though he did leave himself open to attack.
