Thanks for posting. Gives a clearer picture of the conflict. Reminds me of what happened in Poland.
Wow. That's some really harsh stuff. Now I know why the authorities are cracking down. Never, ever insult the aura of another. That's a bigger offense than drinking Jobu's rum.
“...We feel so vulnerable, more than ever,
but at the same time are aware of our power.
No matter how strong it is collectively,
it will do little to protect us today.
We could only take our bones and flesh to the streets
and expose them to batons and bullets.
Two different feelings fight inside me
without mixing with one another.
To live or to just be alive,
thats the question...”

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) Iran’s Revolutionary Guard threatens to crush any further opposition protests.
Sheltered in America, I read that and think, “So this is what a world without Christ looks like.”
The America that "legalized" killing of unborn human beings 35 years ago? That America?
"Christian America" is a sham. Words - just words.

Shades of the French Revolution.
You attack those that fight against murder and you use satan’s very own owrds to do it.

Excuse me?
The SRM has tried to innoculate them against Christianity: but due to their *own* ignorance of what it is, there is plenty of fertile ground for conversion.
Cheers!
The American People saw to that in November 2008.
Elections have consequences and they still support him to the tune of 58% approval...what's up with THAT!!?.
Reagan announced in December 1981 that when the oppressed Poles--under newly martial law--put out candles one night, Americans should do the same thing.
When they have the black candles out in Teheran and elsewhere, will this Bozo in the White House do a similiar President Reagan broadcast and urge Americans to do the same in solidarity??
Well said. Thanks. I could have kept my opinion to myself, I suppose. But, I recall, I believe it was a Jefferson quote about God’s judgments. No time to look it up now.
Wow, it really sucks when the police and army are the only ones with guns.
These people are fighting not just for their freedom but literally for their existence. They know that Ahmedinejab’s continual incitement of Israel will eventually get them all killed. To be reduced to such a dire choice—join the protest or silently accept the status quo—is a position I hope we never find ourselves in.
Jus’ like Frankie Carbone in Goodfellas
A good account. It showed the affect of contagious mob hysteria - the Professor of Philosophy couldn’t believe he had turned into a “hooligan”. The riot police were obviously lacking in leadership, they seemed to have no coherent plan, just ordered to charge in and hurt people - and possibly many had sympathies with the crowd; aiming the water canons in the air to cool down the crowd on a hot day instead of turning the stream directly on them. One scene: In sheer desperation, the officer hits his helmet several times hard with his baton. Damn me! Damn me! What the hell do I know!
Its a scene of a mob of police attacking a mob of demonstrators. Thats not the way to do it.
