A feed into the good stories. The coin of the realm in journalism is access. You get the good stories - the good interviews and your company pays you big time.

In short - in the "coin" that matters, ABC took a bribe.

They've sold out the position of real journalists. They're NOT going to give you information - they're going to give the Official State Line. Castro's "journalists" do the same - they give the party line.
