I try to refrain from discussions involving Limbaugh or Levin only for the reason that I rarely listen to their shows. Used to be a diehard Rush fan during the nineties but something’s missing nowadays. Politics has gotten so deadly serious now that a Paul Shanklin parody is neither humorous or appropriate.

It's usually the same ol' song on most of the Savage bashing threads, the usual assortment of drive-by Weiner comments and name callings, most Freepers who listen to Savage usually don't bother posting to the haters, I do it merely out of amusement, and/or expose the "People of the Lie'.

I have heard it explained by a fellow listener that Rush is like conservatism with training wheels. He's good for the fence sitters or those new to the idea of government fiscal responsibility or the heavily leftwing biased media, but after that it's sort of preaching to the choir. And it's mild mannered enough that you can listen to it in a corporate cubicle without getting a harshly worded memo from the boss. Savage grabbed the reins and took it to the next plateau, incorporating the homosexual agenda, theology, family values, and other topics not specifically “political” in nature.

I had a hand-me-down ‘79 Ford Courier pickup (Mazda) that was originally orange... it had an Earl paintjob, painted brown. You could still see orange on parts of the bed/cab.

Great Philip Berg interview this morning during 2nd hour of Jesse Peterson’s show, this Berg guy is a pitbull, wish Savage would get him back on, Rush, Hannity, Beck, O’Reilly, Fox News will never have him on, guess he smells too much like Savage.

One funny comment that Jesse quipped this morning about Chastity Bono’s impending sex change “If I had a momma like Cher, I would want a sex change too,” ROFL!

I saw an interesting website awhile back describing automobile painting with a roller on a budget. Sounds amusing and easy to dismiss as a crank, but the technique was described in detail, and the results were astonishing. Labor intensive and requires many coats with a thinned out paint with fine grit wet sandings between coats, but the results are impressive and durable.

Doing man’s work, sweating in my garage somewhere in the upper 90’s with 90% humitiy. Pulling the engine out of my 86 chrysler. I rebuilt this engine in 07 but probably only put 500 miles on it. Damn rear main seal started leaking. I guess while I am at it I will replace the wrist pins, should quiet it down a bit.
