Ok. You have your mind made up. I told you why I think he shouldn’t say anything. You think he should. You haven’t told me what you think it would help. Only that is what a President is supposed to do.

Obama has failed miserably at everything that he has done, yet for some reason you seem to believe that he could manage to be a positive player in this Iranian meltdown. He can barely read a teleprompter, yet you think he can somehow manage to give support to the students, while not giving any indication that the US is supporting a revolution. You must have a much more positive view of Obama than I do. I think the less he does and says, the better this country will fare.

BTW, these students in the opposition were always on their own. even if the US expressed verbal support, there was going to be no other support. I pray they are successful, and they stay free from harm, but I fear this will be very ugly. They are brave and courageous and they have God on their side. Iranians are more than capable of taking control of their own country, without the help of the US>

You have distorted what I have said beyond belief, so let me clarify to try to help you understand.

Even with the abject failure that Obama is, IF he spoke out for the cause of freedom, it would have a positive effect on those who are risking their lives for it in Iran. Quoting Levin again.......they now know they are on their own. The strongest country in the world has abandoned them. He IS the President of the United States, and he COULD have a positive effect on these freedom fighters IF he did the right thing.

The problem is that we both know that he is worthless (bizarre that you should twist my words and accuse me of having a positive view of Obama......absolutely bizarre), but you seem to want to encourage him to continue to do the wrong thing while I am criticizing him for it.

His silence is disgusting. His support of dictators and tyranny is disgusting. HE is disgusting.

But he is still doing the wrong thing by being quiet. Supporting him on that, for me is unthinkable.
