I find it puzzling that anyone can think that Governor Palin has deliberately stoked this ‘spat’ with Lettermann in order to garner publicity for herself. She already had a major story in the pipeline deal with XXon Mobil. Does anyone with any intelligence really believe that she wanted this kind of distraction? If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would almost believe that this distraction was deliberate. After all, the worlds biggest company, XXon and the worlds best pipeline builder have just committed to advance the biggest energy project in north America’s history! Anybody who knows the background realises that this is a major triumph for Sarah Palin, not only personally, but for her capacity to achieve almost unanimous bipartisan agreements, and to play hardball negotiations. By baiting Sarah about her family, someone knew that if she responded, she would be damned and jeered at by the usual suspects. If she did not respond, she would be damned and jeered at by the same suspects.
Cowards.
I suspect that after watching the world trash her and Bristol in the baby Trig controversy that she has learned from her mistakes. Fight back with words of dignity and truth. I like that. She has not stooped to pics of lettermans wife....which I indeed morbidly looked up and posted.....she has simply stated the truth - that it is repuslive and sick to make jokes about a 14 year old girl getting knocked up. She is correct to point that out. It is just as much in poor taste that it was supposedly intended for her 18 year old daughter. But, don't worry, I am sure all the perverts lusting over young girls and women love his jokes - the viewers letterman lost with those jokes were likely replaced.
