'Iranian attack on Israel will NOT be seen as attack on US'
Jerusalem News Wire ^ | June 12, 2009 | Stan Goodenough

One year after declaring - as a presidential candidate - that an Iranian attack on Israel would be regarded as an attack on the US, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton earlier this week revealed that this was certainly not the policy of the Obama administration.

While the Iranians could expect 'retaliation,' America was not committing itself to come to Israel's defense.

....Before playing a video recording in which Clinton emphatically states: "I would make it clear to the Iranians that an attack on Israel would incur massive retaliation from the United States," Stephanopoulos told her that this "was your position during the campaign."

"Is it US policy now," he asked.... Clinton, um'd and ah'd.

"I think it is US policy to the extent that we have alliances and understandings with a number of nations," she said, then added, "I don't think there is any doubt in anyone's mind that, were Israel to suffer a nuclear attack by Iran, there would be retaliation."

Stephanopoulos pressed her: "By the United States?"

But she would not commit. "Well, I think there would be retaliation," she said

Sounds like statements made concerning S Korea by the US just before the start of the Korean war.

We don’t have a mutual defense pact with Israel. Nor is it like NATO and Article 5 where an attack against one is an attack against all. Hillary can say one thing on the campaign trail, but the reality is something else.

That flapping you hear is Israel hanging out to dry in a strong breeze from the general direction of Mesopotamia.

In a major foreign policy speech delivered in Cairo last week, President Barack Obama came out strongly in support of historically-illegitimate Arab aspirations, while effectively undermining the legitimacy of Israel's claims and rights.

No surprise -- cinung from Obama or Hillary -- both cosummate liars.

Ain't we lucky to have such clods working hard for an all out Holy War to get started?

“Sounds like statements made concerning S Korea by the US just before the start of the Korean war.”

And before the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.

But Iran has some ducks to put in order first. So don’t expect it this month.

The uncertainty is also alarmingly similar to the ambiguous signals emitted by the British government in 1914 which many think contributed to World War I becoming more than just another periodic instance of disturbance in the Balkans.

Psalm 122

A Song of degrees of David:

I was glad when they said unto me:
‘Let us go unto the House of the Lord’.

When our feet stood within thy gates, O Jerusalem;
O Jerusalem, built as a city that is united together;

For there the tribes went up, the tribes of the Lord,
as a testimony of Israel,
to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

For there are set thrones of judgement,
the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
they that love thee shall prosper.

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will say now,
peace be within thee.

For the sake of the House of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

I am quite certain that the Hussein adminstration would equivocate on any responsibility the U.S. has to back our friends and allies with military action if they are attacked. Hussein’s primary goal is the destruction of the American economy and what remains of its Judeo-Christian culture and foreign events just get in the way. That he makes any efforts at all on foreign matters including war are because to ignore them would be politically damaging. But as soon as it is expedient to do so and he thinks he can get away with it he will abandon U.S. interests and involvements overseas. Concepts like “honor” or “fidelity” are completely foreign to this administration.

Of course not. The Obama policy would be praise. The Usurper is part Jew hating muzzie after all; and part Rev Wright mentored, Black Power supporting, Jew whitey and America hater.

Hmmm

She sounds a lot like Ambassador April Glaspie talking to Saddam Hussein 2 weeks before he invaded Kuwait

And I guess that nuclear “umbrella” she mentioned in her campaign only extends over Mecca

In other words, the US would introduce a UN Security Council measure deploring Iran's attack on Israel, which would be promptly vetoed.
