And I forgot to mention that the picture of his truck had a Bush/Cheney ‘04 sticker on it.

He Also ran for office in 1968 as a Democrat in New Hampshire.

The guy was a nut case.
As someone else pointed out, anti semantics is on the rise, and it is predominantly a left wing sentiment throughout Europe and elsewhere.

Most sane people know Hitler was a left wing socialist, so attempts by the left to try turn this into a right wing sentiment will be seen for what it is, an attempt to disassociate themselves from their long standing beliefs.

All I can say to that is AHAHHAHAHAHA.

I’ve spoken to my neighbors about these sorts of things and I wouldn’t want to be the person tasked with convincing them that Hitler was a Liberal. If anything they associate him more with Nationalism than socialism. If conservatives have been successful at anything in the past 50 years it’s been associating love of Nation with conservatism. Hitler=Ultra-Nationalist=Conservative

Please understand that these aren’t my arguments. I don’t touch arguments when they get to Hitler. He’s too recent and too many emotions swirl around him.

I will say that I don’t think ANY responsible person should link this man with a mainstream party. He doesn’t represent mainstream anything in America.
