It’s not surprising to see violent crime tick up during economic downturns.
Wear your Kevlar, people (less than $200 on eBay and Bulletproofme.com)! Stuff used police ballastic vests inside the door panels of your car...or if you can’t afford that, then used old phone books.
Armor up. Arm up. And get a dog. Crime is coming. Be prepared, even if someone gets the jump on you.
Add a note to the women:
If at all possible, do NOT shop after dark and park as close to the store as you possibly can.
Shop in groups.
Even if you have to fake it, look like you’re talking to somebody on your cellphone when leaving the store.
Be aware of your surroundings at ALL times.
Learn to adopt a “don’t you -dare- F with -me-” stomp and glare.
[and stick a sharp dagger in your purse if you live where you can’t carry something “better”...a slim chance is better than none]
