NorthKorea
SEOUL, June 9 (Yonhap) -- North Korea urged its people Tuesday to be armed with willpower against the United States and warned not to depend on allied nations, as the country faces new international sanctions for its recent nuclear test.
The full-page editorial by the Rodong Sinmun, the North's main newspaper published by the Workers Party of Korea, apparently pointed to China, which has rebuked the May 25 nuclear explosion and is now working on a punitive resolution with the U.N. Security Council.
"We will win when we fight the (U.S.) imperialists to the end, and there will be only shame and disgrace if we surrender," the paper said. "The confrontation with the imperialists is a war of willpower."

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) North Korea is preparing to launch three or four medium-range missiles, along with an intercontinental ballistic missile, amid moves by Kim Jong Il to anoint his third son as heir to the world’s first communist dynasty, reports and experts said Tuesday.
South Korea’s Yonhap news agency said the North is preparing to fire three to four medium-range missiles from Anbyon on its east coast.
“Many vehicles mounted with mobile launchers are being spotted” at Anbyon, Yonhap quoted an unnamed government official saying. “It looks like at least three missiles will be launched.”
The North has also transported what is believed to be its most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile to a base near China in the west, officials confirmed.

Nice conveyance by Kim.
I can envision the people of NK kissing the boots of foreigners in appreciation if they were available via PRNK government take down.

“N.Korea Issues New Warning”
SNIPPET: “North Korea says it will use its nuclear weapons both to defend itself and as an offense against those who seek to attack the country. An editorial published Tuesday in North Korea’s state-run Minju Joson newspaper says its nuclear arsenal will be a strong deterrent against any enemies, and will also be used to carry out a “merciless offensive” against those who violate its dignity and sovereignty.”

That is all they might be armed with since most are straving to death while this little turd spends money on his toys..All we would need is to just blow this little turd off the face of the map..
He does have some hostages I wonder how BO is going to get those poor little girls back..What kind of money is BO going to promise them.Old Al should have to pay..
I have to say this since I lived in South Korea for two years and that is we were warned never to cross over into North Korea..We went to Panmoonjom for a trip and saw what these little bastards could and would do if anyone dared to step a foot over the line and saw what they did to people that did that..through pictures..
If willpower was such a big deal...the Packers would have won the Super Bowl for ten years straight.
all this Bravo Sierra coming out of NK would be funny if it were not so damn ridiculous...where the hell were these people when we made parking lot out of Hiroshima...shezzzzzzzzzzzz

US: We can shoot down N. Korean missile
SNIPPET: Defense Secretary Gates says US missile interceptors fully adequate to protect us from North Korean threat; meanwhile, five Security Council members close to agreement on new sanctions, diplomatic source says

SNIPPET: Defense Secretary Robert Gates is expressing confidence that the United States can shoot down any North Korean missile fired toward America.
Gates told US lawmakers at a hearing Tuesday that the US would have a high probability of being able to defend ourselves if the North fired a long-range missile.
“We will win when we fight the (U.S.) imperialists to the end..”
.
Considering who is in the WH, NK probably will win.
USA-Bombs, both smart and not, dropped from aircraft unable to be tracked by radar and launched from any one of a number of aircraft carriers that can be brought on station in a matter of days and stay indefinitely. Cruise missiles launched from submarines on patrol 24/7/365 and able to sit well offshore and pin point the destruction they can bring with each of their 24 MIRV warheads (10 per missile, possibly nuke tipped).
North Korea-Will Power.
Anybody got the Vegas odds on the outcome?
For sure, Crazy Little Kim has no shortage thereof.
How 'bout the President of the United States?

Unless they have many more weapons than we think they have....they’ll never make it out of NK airspace.

“(3rd LD) China agrees to draft resolution on N. Korea for nuke test: diplomats”
SNIPPET: “NEW YORK, June 9 (Yonhap) — China has agreed on a draft resolution on further sanctioning North Korea for its nuclear test last month, the second in nearly three years, removing a major obstacle to a deal, diplomatic sources here said Tuesday.
“China has agreed on a compromise draft resolution presented by the U.S. and the Western countries,” a diplomat said, asking anonymity. “We expect an announcement on a final agreement will be made soon.””
No need for the “willpower” bit.
All NOKO has to keep doing is huffing and puffing; doing such will continue to blow the Barry and Hitlary NOKO foreign policy house of cards down.
Considering that U.S. willpower post-1/20/2009 lies somewhere between 'zip' and 'nada', I would give the Norks pretty good odds.

North Korean Rhetoric Bears Watching, Gates Says
By Jim Garamone
American Forces Press Service
BRUSSELS, Belgium, June 11, 2009 Because it comes from what he called an unpredictable regime, bellicose rhetoric from North Korea needs to be watched closely, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said today.
North Korean officials have said that all agreements including the armistice that halted the Korean War in 1953 are null and void, and have threatened acts of war if the United Nations goes forward with sanctions.
North Korea reportedly tested an atomic weapon last month and has launched a number of missiles. The country has withdrawn from the Six-Party Talks with China, Russia, Japan, South Korea and the United States.
Its a very unpredictable regime, so it is probably not wise just to dismiss out-of-hand the rhetoric, Gates said. I think we will just have to see. I think everyone is watching very closely.
But Gates also said intelligence does not indicate warlike changes in the North Korean military dispositions. I dont think that there has been a commensurate change in the posture of the North Korean military that would suggest an intent to undertake operations, he said.
Intelligence information indicates that North Korea is not mobilizing troops or moving troops and equipment, the secretary said. [North Korean] military operations are pretty routine at this point, so thats a source of some comfort, he said, but again, they are so unpredictable you cant completely discount them.
Officials repeatedly have said that the preferred solution in North Korea is diplomacy, and that U.S. officials will work with allies to bring the North Koreans back to the negotiating table.
Gates is here to attend a conference of NATO defense ministers.
