On May 30th The Obamas hit Manhattan for dinner and a Broadway show as the First Couple had a date night. Michelle Obamas fashion sense is understated and never obvious so when she touched down in NYC, style watchers clamored to find out what she was wearing. All the talk has been about the bold, statement clutch she carried because it was GORGE! Obama accessorized her formfitting, ruffled black sheath with a VBH Ballerina Clutch in shocking Colbalt Blue. The clutch retails for $1500

If you can afford a 1500 dollar clutch then more power to you. What I don’t understand is why the blue with the black dress? Its almost like she is color blind at times.

The NYC trip where we taxpayers paid for them to fly to NYC, eat at one of the top restaurants and fly back privately..... Obama paid for the Broadway tickets out of his own pockets, big whoop - we paid for everything else!!! Shame on them, they are hypocrites - they think they are so entitled.Us normal folk we have to fork over the additional $8 to cross the Hudson river, then pay $30-$40 parking, plus gasoline. ***Sarcasm on***I am so impressed Zero actually paid for the tickets and restaurant***Sarcasm off***

$1500 for that thing! Someone needs to show her how to bid on EBAY!Marie Obama-Antoinette needed to walk around Times Square after the "date" and she could of bought a very nice "clutch" for $10 from one of the numerous street vendors in the area. I bet she could of found an exact copy of that thing.

Somehow, the 60's animated TV series "Clutch Cargo" comes to mind.
Clutch was of muscular build and was accompanied in his cliff-hanging adventures around the world by his ward, Spinner (!) and his grizzled friend, Swampy (!).

Her emotions appear as they are and she is not managing her public ego. Contrast Michelle (5'11") with Eleanor Roosevelt (5'11½"). Looking at photos of Eleanor and our troops, those around her appear comfortable and engaged. Finding only a few ad hoc photos and none with the troops, it appears that M O does not mingle well.
Young Eleanor was easy on the eyes and the photos of her with the guys convey a lot of energy.
