For FReepers who wonder... “Puh ‘sake” is an acceptable pronunciation, although many (most?) North Jersey natives will pronounce it “Puh ‘say ik” with the last two syllables almost blending together.

I was born there 70 years ago...it's Puh-sake...unless you're from "Da udder side Pots-ake."
