...in hopes that foreign countries, especially Iran and others believed to be clandestinely developing nuclear arms, will (change) do likewise...

Just some more Hope & Change

BS! it was an accident. It was a preplanned timed release of sensitive information to our enemies.

I wonder if it contained GPS data?

With this list, the terrorist don't have to obtain or manufacture their own nuclear material, they just cause a release of our material using this document as a road map.

Also, how dumb do they think we are? Oak Ridge TN is a tourist attraction! EVERYONE knows what they did and do there. The article itself states “It calls itself the nation’s Fort Knox for highly enriched uranium, a main fuel of nuclear arms.” No, it all the other little known, secret and lightly secured facilities that now have been revealed to terrorist.

I guess since those who want to destroy America and kill as many infidels as possible have had a hard time obtaining nuclear material, this administration decided to make it easier for them.

Traitors.

BTW, what is the classification “highly confidential”?

Not a U.S. security classification. From the article: Each page is marked across the top “Highly Confidential Safeguards Sensitive” in capital letters, with the exception of pages that detailed additional information like site maps. In his transmittal letter, Mr. Obama said the cautionary language was a classification category of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s inspectors.

I had a really fiery post telling what idiots the Times writers were for this farcical "highly confidential" security classification. I'm glad I checked the article before I looked dumber than the Times.

inadvertent release of super-secret data?? - maybe so, maybe not.

I suspect we have more anti-America types in government now than ever. (more than when communists were saturating the State dept.)

I think the writer doesn't know what he's talking about. There are three levels of classification: top secret, secret, and confidential, plus "for official use only". I've never heard of anything stamped "highly confidential". "Secret" is not "confidential", the headline doesn't match the text.

And, if one of us peons had "accidentally" released classified to the public, we'd have gone to jail.

Spilling locations of nuclear sites is as bad if not worse than X-42 losing the nuclear football.

Someone needs to be accountable for this and go to jail.

Then, his management needs to be impeached for treason.

Perhaps the New York Times is simply afraid that this administration is treading painfully close to its own turf? Ironic.
