Kansas Abortionist George Tiller was shot today as he was going to Church.

You may be right. A professional would strike when Tiller’s guard was down—at Church ona Sunday morning.
An amateur might have tried to get him on his way into the clinic, when he was always escorted by bodyguards.
I hear an arrest has been made. We will soon know motive, I think.
We are NOT ALLOWED to be:
“PRO CHOICE” on the subject of vigilante justice!
I also would never condone such an action. That said, I don’t feel bad about it.
Neo :P
You are so spot on!
Lets put the blame where it deserves to be, the courts. They imposed these vile practices on us with out our consent. If the issue of abortion had been handled through the legislative process we may not have liked the results, but we would have had a say in it and could reform it if we could garner enough support.
I'm praying that the killer gives himself up before any innocent person is hurt.
I am reminded of an American General, who, when he saw the horrors of the Nazi death camp, told the towns people to clean it up because he wanted them to saw what they had tolerated. What did he want them to do about it before the camp was liberated? picket? Aren’t the heroes those who risked EVERYTHING to save others? Even at the cost of killing those who were killing the innocent?
What planet have YOU been living on? Is this some sudden new revelation for you?
They’ve been blaming us for everything for DECADES. What will change? It should be status quo then, right? What changes? NOTHING!
You need to start looking at the administration for blame and damage for this. Don’t you find it convenient, after recent polls, combined with the fear this administration would love to instill in churchgoers?
STOP the inward viewpoint. You’re not helping anything with you’re warped POV.
The rules of human nature suggest that murder is done for selfish reasons, not causal ones. To believe otherwise is akin to insanity.
Elder is what LCMS calls the position. Vestry is Catholic and Episcopalian and others.
I’d forgotten the other details.....thanks!
Talk is cheap. If you really think that we are living in real anarchy now. We have widespread injustice, abuse of power etc. but we are not yet in a situation of complete anarchy. But your statement was a justification of complete anarchy. If you truly understood what anarchy, total lawlessness, is like, you would not make such irresponsible statements. We cannot overcome the mess we find ourselves in by justifying vigilanteeism or anarchy.
The best laws money can by.
Evidently tearing helpless infants to pieces is quite all right, but going to church is dangerous as hell, huh Doc?
Exactly.
The Unabomber did not hurt Al Gore.
Wiliam Ayers did not hurt the “peace movement”.
This will only help the other side if we let it.
See #702. Curious if you’ll answer those questions.
Excellent point.
“If this was cleaning up some Democrat dirty laundry then the story will quickly die.”
I hope you are right. But I fear that even if this was a professional hit, it was planned in such a way as to hide the trail sufficiently to be able to still blame it on prolifers and to kill two birds with one stone: eliminate the threat to exposing Sebelius while at the same time do the Reichstag fire needed for FOCA etc.
I hope I’m wrong.
In your religion-tinted eyes, I guess I am as responsible as Tiller. Big deal.
There are a lot of "very nice" people who are going to end up in Hell. I feel very sad for them.
George Tiller had a long time to repent of his sins and instead he mocked God by destroying his creation hundreds of thousands of times.
Surely while we all deserve hell because God's standard is perfection, I think we can say without hesitation that there are a number of people who have lived on this planet who deserve no mercy when they stand before God. I believe that one of those people just found out the hard way that every knee shall bow.
Now I do feel sorry for all the members of George Tiller's church who welcomed him with open arms into their congregation and who never themselves used their own hands to shed innocent blood. Unless they turn from their sins and repent, they will likely all end up in fellowship with George Tiller forever.
Yes it was outside the law, but who lamented the killings of Uday and Qusay Hussein? They never got a trial either. If you doubt the moral relevance of the comparison ask who killed more innocent victims.
