McKINNEY, Texas — A jury is deliberating the fate of a 53-year-old suburban Dallas man convicted on aggravated assault charges for knowingly infecting six women with the virus that causes AIDS.

Philippe Padieu faces five to 99 years in prison on each of the six counts.

Since HIV is the virus that causes AIDS, Collin County prosecutors claim Padieu's bodily fluids were a deadly weapon.

Do homo men who knowingly infect other homo men get any punishment at all, or should we just let them kill themselves off?

Decisions, decisions . . . .

As each one dies he should have that woman’s “aggravated assault” charge against him changed to first degree murder.

Defense attorney Bennie House said Padieu may have made some mistakes as a "modern day Casanova," but he did not intentionally spread the virus. He says a 20-year sentence would be fair.

I agree. Per count.

I would say no, as it was a deadly weapon when it happened.

Apparently, there already is. I was telling my wife I thought Magic Johnson faked having AIDS, because he's still alive, what, 20 years later?

She said so long as you have money, you can pretty much stay alive with it forever.

I don't think anyone noteworthy has died of AIDS since the mid nineties.

No doubt! I can’t believe there are six women willing to sleep with that.

Ick.

Dropping the soap will be no problem for this guy in prison.

This creep is a waste of money.

They should have the SOB ride a needle or whatever they do for capital punishment in Texas.

The problem of knowingly infecting others has been around since AIDS was first discovered. That was around the early to mid 1980s. If I’ve seen more than a couple of homosexual men even charged with this crime, I’d be shocked.

Frankly, it’s shocking to see someone charged with it now, no matter who it is.

This was an infectious disease from the start. Still, you couldn’t keep bath houses closed, or do anything to inconvenience a certain community, to prevent the spread of the disease.

It was denied that this was a disease of abuse, relegated to one group of people in addition to I.V. drug users and others with various problematic lifestyles. Oh it was going to ravage the heterosexual populace, just wait and see.

Little Red Riding Hood walks in and says, “My, what selective prosecution you have there grandma!

You know...didn’t any of the women he infected ever stop and consider that?? I mean, at work I take a lot of precautions not to stick a used needle in me!
