The only reason I would go to Europe, if not forced by business, is to visit the US military cemetaries.

For all I care the rest of Europe can rot.

why?
Don´t get me wrong you are not forced to care about “europe” but “they” can rot? why do you have such negative feelings against people you don´t know in personal?
For me as european there is no special reason to care about the US too. (because it has really no impact on my current life) but i would never think “you” can rot because of that.
Been there liked it, met some people i liked and some i don´t liked (just like in europe) so why should i have negative feelings about americans or the US in general?
then again why do you have this feelings? Have you ever been there?

“why do you have such negative feelings against people you don´t know in personal?”

Notice I didn't say Europeans. I said Europe.

I have been to Europe, have had exchange students from Spain live with us, Work with Russians, French, Germans, English, Swedish, Turkish, (Australian, OK so not European but not American either) etc. Associate with many from Africa. We were know as the ‘little UN’ for a while.
-btw- I find absolutely no use for the UN. None.

Don't get me wrong the statement isn't against even one of these people. I have not met an European that I don't like. Some are odd but I appreciate each one of these people personally. I am almost certain that you and I really get along and enjoy each others company.

The problem I have with Europe is, as a ‘country’ (if I can use that term) is not an active ally of the US. They set themselves as a rival. A rival is a step one step closer to becoming an enemy.

Europe is not an individualistic ‘country’. At least in the past the US was. Europe is rotting and dying anyway, demographically speaking. So in a sense I am not saying anything that Europe isn't already practicing. I could make a long list but as a country when has Europe taken a difficult, unpopular stand in the world? Have they against Russian energy? Israel?, Iran? Hell no. They oppose the US, sometimes actively.

European history is replete with colossal failures and I mean colossal. Sure they have produced nice art and have nice scenery but on my list Freedom and the support of Freedom towers over art and mountains.

Does Europe want to be free?

Most of the Europeans I have known look at my desire to do what I want, when I want, without any government interference as somewhat radical. By doing what I want I mean, of course, lawful things.

Don't get me wrong, the US is heading in Europe's direction, and at the rate we have been going we will pass Europe in socialism. Thus my presence on this board. To warn Americans of the dangers of socialism.

If I want to see the pretty scenery of Europe I will buy a nice 2010 calendar. If I want to see nice art I will buy a Art History textbook.

Honest question: Is their a European dominated website similar to FR? If so I would love to visit it and contribute.
