Bottom line is that it says that those articles listed in the Constitution may be ignored and explicitly states that habeas corpus is lifted. Freedom of opinion, press, assembly, postal, telegraph, and telephone is suspended and warrants for searches are no longer required. Property may be confiscated as required. (They say that this is required to fight the communists). That paragraph 4(2) says that if there is a threat to human life, a person can be imprisoned for not less than 6 months (i.e., it has to be at least 6 months, but could be longer)...while if a death has occurred, imprisonment for not less than 2 years.

Recall that Lincoln suspended habeus corpus. Cynically, I’ve thought all along that there’s a reason obama tried to draw the parallel between himself and Lincoln.
A conspiracy theorist could begin to put these puzzle pieces together - the napolitano terrorist list that was “leaked,” the gitmo “solution,” the FEMA rumors, the attacks on Rush et al, etc. It all sounds way too sinister to be orchestrated, but people on the right have to be feeling there’s some intimidation going on.
BTW, why is obama expecting future terrorists who can’t be tried? I thought he was going to fix all that.
Again, the sad thing is it probably WAS required to fight the communists, but once a tool like that is in the hands of the wrong faction, it is inevitably turned against any and all opponents of the regime. Then once you have them all rounded up, the question becomes what are you going to DO with them, feeding them is expensive, and I think we all know what the NAZI regime did.
