Does anyone else think Kris Allen, who was very good won American Idol over Adam Lambert who was great because Red Staters siad "No!" to Lmabert for reasons other than talent? Lambert is the best ever on the show, but I think he was denied because Red State America has had "enough." I hope I'm wrong, just thinking out loud.

I thought Lambert would have won because the producers seemed to promote him a lot more, but the little I caught, he botched most songs he sung.. very fake..
I think the voters went for skill over flash. I also heard 38 million votes came from Arkansas alone so you had a lot of determined Razorbacks.

Well it could be that as many or more folks liked Kris Allen. I think both were great but it was a text/phone vote so the more determined fans won out.

Adam has a great voice but I think alot of people may have been turned off by the screaming.I was.
Most “red staters” that I know don’t watch American Idol. If they do watch, they don’t bother voting.
Fake popularity contests got us the Obamessiah. Who really gives a rat’s ass which singer gets a record contract?
I dislike fags but Adam was BY FAR the better singer ... I’m sorry but Idol jumped the shark for me when Adam lost to Kris ... I will most probably never watch it again ... think Chris Doughtry

Lambert was a better singer, but Kris was a better all around musician. Kris can sing, play piano and guitar. Kris is so young and inexperienced, even he doesn’t understand this.

I agree. Adam’s screaming was annoying. Plus, I don’t like that metro image being a role model/idol to our young men. We need more REAL men.

I texted my daughter and teased her with the line....I am listening to the winner sing.......and she begged me not to tell her. she is in san jose......I am on the east coast...I suspect we should get the title changed.
