Michelle Obama made a public show of support for the arts in New York on Monday - and she brought glamour back.

The First Lady hit Lincoln Center to celebrate the American Ballet Theatre's Opening Night Gala after earlier cutting a ribbon to open a new wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Looking stunning in a cocktail dress, Obama snuck into the Metropolitan Opera House through an underground entrance, skipping the glitzy red carpet.
