11 more ships from a base on the Gulf that is now closed
and shortly the AirCraft carrier Carl Venson will be transfered to San Diego

Only been to San Diego a couple of times, many years ago, but I really liked it there. I did get to visit this base.

This is the current station for my grandson, whom I raised.
He works for the Admiral of the Third Fleet, off base and also needs regular housing to get to "work" in a timely fashion.
Still praying that he makes it a career -- he is 23 y/o, unattached and at five plus years now and is ready to be "stirred" again. He has no idea where he will "land", knows he will have to put in another sea cruise, but his port of settlement is unknown.
Second Class Petty Officer, so far.
