Only been to San Diego a couple of times, many years ago, but I really liked it there. I did get to visit this base.

San Diego is very conservative....or at least it once was.

Yeah, I was born a the Naval Hospital at Balboa got transferred to my family home in NY when my father's ship got moved to Brooklyn Shipyard, then back to S.D. when he was assigned to the USS Los Angeles. Back to NY when he retired.

Back to S.D. when I went through SERE at North Island, Pendleton and another time for short service school as a benny trip break from the war zone.
