"For if there is one law that we can be most certain of, it is the law that binds people of all faiths and no faith together. It is no coincidence that it exists in Christianity and Judaism; in Islam and Hinduism; in Buddhism and humanism. It is, of course, the Golden Rule - the call to treat one another as we wish to be treated. The call to love. To serve. To do what we can to make a difference in the lives of those with whom we share the same brief moment on this Earth." Maybe the president will return to Notre Dame some day and expound, sans teleprompter, on how abortion is an act of "love" and "service."

There are a lot of non-Catholics as well as Mafioso who send their children (and nieces and nephews) to Notre Dame. Besides, we have no idea how many students skipped graduation to get started on job hunting in a tight employment market.

Folks, please don't reply to Mr. EagleHeh,heh. Do as I say, not as I do.
Typical.

You never heard of a multi-pronged attack have you?Yes. It's when a bunch of people who can't defend or explain their positions complain to the mods to have one guy's postings deleted.
Typical.
you are now using to the tried-and-true tactic of name-calling, just like the leftists do.
Uhhhhh....is calling some a leftist an example of this name-calling you abhor?
Typical.

Our dying Lord as he hung on the cross told Mary: Behold your Son. She thus became the mother of us all. LOL. If jumping to conclusions was an Olympic event, that would win The Gold Medal.
Sorry, Mods. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Couldn't help myself.

In his own mind B.O. had to articulate the abortion debate in his terms, thus framing the arguments to his satisfaction. The protests and the preliminaries were an affront to his ego. Had he given a traditional commencement speech, he would have lost the bully pulpit opportunity and possibly have been accused of avoiding the topic. So all those grads worried about losing their commencement to the controversy had to endure the O trying to out-debate the majority of Americans. Your post is one illustration of how, through the sacrificial work of a small band of courageous activists, we now have the initiative.
Armies that have the initiative, and keep it, win battles. Every time.
Obama, conversely, lost the initiative today.
To reiterate: Our job now is to keep the initiative. If we do, we will win.

That's a shame. The belief that embryonic stem cells have any value at all is absolutely unscientific. If such cells are used to do anything, the victim is going to have to take immunosuppression drugs the rest of his or her life.
The original thinking regarding embryonic stem cells was arrived at back befor we understood much about the immune system or how our genetic systems work. The proponents actually argued that embryonic stem cells were not yet "patterned on an individual" so they'd just enter our own systems "unnoticed" (I believe that was the term).
Research demonstrated that believe to be total BS. Our bodies have immune systems that'll attack inert substances even!
Anyone who does little more scientific research than read Science News bi-weekly knows more about it than Mary Anne Fox.
The fact that she continues to pump for embryonic stem cells rather demonstrates something many people know from other lines of evidence ~ she's a moon bat with pretensions of becoming a witch if people would just get out of her way.
The woman is certifiable.
Something is really wrong with our society if such people can exercise such power and have influence in so many places.
Maybe we oughtta' let Obama destoy the rich ~ just burn 'em out like maggots ~

Yer killin’ me.
Do you realize how foolish you look? Do you understand how much thread hijackers are hated? Do you even care?
I read that the mods threatened a suspension for anyone who hits abuse. I guess we can thank you for that. It’s been a big day for you, eh?

I hope you don’t mind, but I and many others worked very hard for more than six weeks in the efforts that led to this thread.
Can I respectfully ask you to go elsewhere?

For whatever reason, I thought of Orwell’s Animal Farm regarding the whole affair, if you catch my drift.
