Someone might have said this already, but I’m amazed that Panetta is refuting Pelosi and sticking with the CIA.
I like this quote from Panetta towards the end of his memo...
“We are an Agency of high integrity, professionalism, and dedication. Our task is to tell it like it is—even if that’s not what people always want to hear.”
Essentially he is stating they will tell the truth regardless of what Pelosi wants them say.
If Panetta had not backed the CIA, he would be a terrible failure as its Director, and he knows it.
