US warns Israel not to attack Iran By Middle East correspondent Anne Barker

The United States has warned Israel not to surprise it with any unannounced military attack against Iran.
President Barack Obama sent the message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu through a senior US official visiting Israel.
According to Israel's Haaretz newspaper, the American envoy has said the US does not want to be caught off guard by such an attack and find itself facing "facts on the ground" at the last minute.
Mr Netanyahu has previously said his government would do whatever is necessary to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
The Israeli leader will be in Washington next week for talks with Mr Obama, which will also cover US demands for a two-state solution to the Israel Palestinian conflict.
Mr Obama is due to visit Israel next month.

The most pithy, excellent observation I have seen yet. This “President” of ours is a complete idiot in most areas of governance as it has been showing all along. He is going to make Jimmy Carter look like a Rock of common sense. I really think he is going to do so much damage that it will backfire on the Dem’s. and they will loose control for the next 20 years.(after the mid-term elections) Bebe Netanyahu is probably dismissing him as an idiot as Putin has, and is going to go ahead with the raid on Iran at any time now.
You hit it just right. I’m from Florida where an astounding 79% of Jewish voters voted for him. The whole world seems like its on drugs.
Unfortunately, American surveillance of Israel and the surrounding area is so pervasive that I doubt an attack could be mounted without being discovered. And I do believe that Obama is unprincipled and treacherous enough that he would immediately warn Iran of the impending attack.
This would result in Israel losing the element of surprise and the destruction of much of its air force, making it completely dependent on the US for survival. Obama would use this dependence to force Israel accept his terms for Palestinian statehood, which would eventually destroy Israel.
This is like saying to the enemy that your guns do not contain ammunition.
We need to defend ourselves and the fools who wish to nto to provoke Iran are leaving us dangerously exposed.
Yeah, but Biden is just as likely to say it wrong. He could be great for spreading misinformation, just not in a dependable way.
if I had to predict, I think the Obama administration will find itself knee-deep in dealing with some unforeseen....um, distraction... at the moment Israel decides to strike...
