House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer declined Thursday to backup Speaker Nancy Pelosis assertion that the CIA lied to Congress during debate on the House floor.
I have no idea of that, dont have a belief of that nature because I have no basis on which to base such a belief. And I certainly hope thats not the case, Hoyer said in response to a question from Republican Minority Whip Eric Cantor.
There have been statements made by the Speaker and others indicating a certain preconceived bias like a belief that perhaps the CIA or others have somehow misled us we need to understand if there is some type of preconceived bias, Cantor said, asking Hoyer for his take on the allegation that the intelligence community has been less than forthright with Congress.
Hoyer responded that while the question of what Pelosi knew is not irrelevant, Republicans should focus on the bigger picture.
To a degree that is a distraction. It is not irrelevant, but it is a distraction from the central point, he said I think there is far too much discussion about what was said as opposed to what was done. The truth commission, I think, has a responsibility or whatever we call a commission that would look at this issue, not so much for what was done but to ensure that what we do going forward is legal, consistent with our values, consistent with our morals, and consistent..with protecting our nation and our people. In my view, we have a responsibility to do all of those and in my view we can do all of those.

I think you’ll start seeing dems leaving her in droves.
Hoyer is following the old political adage:
When your enemy is in trouble, shut up and get out of the way!
Hoyer and Pelosi are not friends.
Hoyer is no friend of Pelosi. She tried to have him replaced a Leader with Murtha.
Hoyer wants to be speaker.
His eyes are on the gavel and he doesn’t like her personally, this is fun to watch unfold.
Hoyer’s knife will come from the front now, not the back is all.
I think Hoyer is playing the “good cop” role, and waiting in line to become the new Speaker as soon as the existing one blabs and lies her way into a corner. The WH is probably as tired of Pelosi’s grandstanding and stupidity as we are, and here’s their chance to get a more cooperative congresman to hold up that end of the Axis of Idiots.
If the CIA lied to Pelosi, they lied to others as well. But no one else is jumping up and crying “they lied to me, too!” I think the other dems in the House despise Pelosi. They are going to put up token support (kind of like the support the Italians gave the Germans). This is a way for the dems to get rid of an arrogant disgrace for a Speaker without getting their hands dirty.
The wheels on the bus go round and round...
Hoyer is partically correct, when he said he had “no idea”.
No dhimmicrat ever does, or ever has had, an idea.
But he also knows he’s **THIS CLOSE** to being Speaker of the House...of course he’s going to throw her under the bus.
Sounds good to me.
Hoyer wants to be speaker and is seeing a real good opportunity with pelozi stepping in it big time. He is also tight with the occupiers of the white house. And he is from Maryland. Pelosi is toast.
