Democrats on the House intelligence committee said Thursday that CIA officers broke the law in 2002 if they told Nancy Pelosi then that they had not yet engaged in waterboarding.
"If they make a false report, absolutely it's illegal," said Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. "If they fail to make a report when they're obligated to that is also illegal — a violation of the National Security Act."
Said CIA Spokesman George Little: “It is not the policy of the CIA to mislead the United States Congress.”

The CIA know it’s a crime to lie to Congre$$.
They also know what they signed on for.
They also took an oath, something they share in common.

The CIA upper level civil service types have long favored the libs and the Dems. The field agents are much more pragmatic. For the life of me I cannot figure out why the Dems in Congress want to pick a fight. They will not win that war. If they don’t back off quick, there will be some very damaging leaks about Pelosi and gang.
I think they have lawyers at their side when they go to those kind of meetings.
The lawyer and aide to Pelosi is mute, for now. I’m sure his memory is still intact... if not, we still have legal ways to make folks talk.

Usually this works as the media are in lockstep with the Demos, but Pelosi is just too stupid to know she should have let this go when others realized they wouldn't be able to go after Bush without some of their own being drawn in, and keeps on opening her yap and digging a deeper hole.
Incredibly, Pelosi still has her job. If she was a Repub, the Demos would have been calling for her to step down days ago.
Remember Watergate, when the leaks just kept dripping out, so that there were almost daily revelations? This kept it in the public's mind as the media, who hated Nixon anyway, loved to breathlessly report the newest thing. If it had all come out at once, Nixon could have (if he had been so inclined) attempted to cut his losses and "put it all behind us", to "move forward", as the Demos love to do when caught with their hand still in the cookie jar!
We can't let this go. We must go after any chink in the Demos armor, no matter how seemingly small or insignificant. They add up over time, and you can never tell where it will lead or how it will end up.
Again, look at Watergate. In the beginning of it all, no one thought it would bring Nixon down, but it did.

I hear many of you saying that the Dems are going to get stung by the CIA for this Pelosi thing. I don’t think anything will happen - unless Obama wants Pelosi gone for some reason.
Otherwise, there will be a stink for a while and then this story will just disappear. The drive-bys will not pursue this. The CIA now belongs to the big “O”. He will be coming out with some Supreme Court appointee and then that’s the last we will ever hear about this.
I hope, I pray that I’m wrong, but I just don’t believe anything substantial is going to come from this - except possibly further politicizing and weakening of our counter-intelligence agency.

I don't know. I can't recall any politician accusing a federal agency of outright lying before this, especially one with CIA's capabilities. I'm sure some of the people over there are seriously ticked off at Pelosi. I would not be suprised if someone there is planning a suprise for Ms. Pelosi.
Also, there is way too much media coverage on this now, as she can't keep her trap shut.
