At least that’s what he said. Someone on another thread speculated that the effort to have them withheld by this crew will be virtually non existent and they will be released anyway. I tend to agree with that theory.

The Rookie thought he had cleverly inoculated himself from the consequences of a terror attack by his picks for SecDef and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, just continuing Bush's team, doncha know.
Well, with his very public break with the Bush administration over interrogation and release of the legal memos and calls for investigations, he doesn't have the it's all the Bush team's fault argument, he's not continuing their policies. Now Cheney is saying Zero is harming national security with his policy changes.
All of a sudden, an attack would be on his watch and his inoculate won't work. Too late he realizes he shouldn't have gone down this path at all. And he's watching his Speaker of the House twisting in the wind over the crap he started.
