It was a sight to behold. President Barack Obama reverses himself on his promise to release interrogation (now redefined as "torture") photos and the entire leftwing blogosphere erupts in an explosion of anger. It was so bad that Cenk Uygur, the leftwing host of The Young Turks radio show, claimed that Obama was cowed into caving in to Dick Cheney as you can see in his Daily Kos post:

I still think tht Odumbo got out of this what he wanted. It put attention back on the Bush administration and draws attention to the bad, bad America that was before “The One” came along. He doesn’t need to release the photos because the effect has already taken place. People can just use their imagination as to whatever they believe was on these photos and reassert their idea that Bush was evil and made us less safe.

Perhaps, but my guess is that 0bama has seen the photos and they are no worse than the previously released frat-boy hazing photos from "Alpha Abu Ghraib" and therefore, there is more to gain by withholding the photos and leaving the leftist wackos to their imaginations, than there is by releasing the photos, which may be much to do about nothing.

I sure the outrageous pictures from Club Gitmo of overfed muzzies, suffering in air conditioned cells, with Glazed Orange Chicken sauce on their faces will never be released.

I just hope the pictures from the annual Gitmo “BBQ” and the ones from “bacon day” don't get out. Even worse, the pictures of Marines forcing the muzzies to face Mecca from the “other way” will just inflame the perpetually pissed off “moderate” jihadist.

If they are officially released by Obama, and there are bad consequences from the Muslim world, then Obama can get blamed for the blow-back. If they are leaked, then he doesn't get blamed.
