the CIA was already giving her up through leaked documents . . . the are going to torpedo her for this.

The leaked documents were as shot across the bow. The message was to back off or we will do something nasty. Being an arrogant left coast liberal she didn't listen. The CIA is one of the few bureaucracies that politicians should be scared of, the other being the FBI. Both for the same reasons. Big file cabinets and knowledge of where all the bodies are buried.

I imagine that there will soon be a whole bunch of stories from anonymous sources and leaked documents about how Pelosi funnels funds from foreign groups to her friends, or who among her family and staff are moving drugs etc. The CIA doesn't disappear prominent figures like the speaker, the just make you want to disappear.
