Dr. Seuss did editorial cartoons before he was known for his childrens’ books. He was anti-Nazi Germany before America was 100% on board. I don’t recall his caption but the gist of it was that we were still free as long as we could still mock such tyranny. He knew that it was effective to taking it down.

We heard it in DUh-bama’s jokes about the NYC flyover and the teleprompter...he knows his weakness is out there for all to see, so he’s trying to “laugh it off” with poor attempts at humor. In reality, being called TOTUS is getting under his thin skin.
