In an action that spoke far louder than words, Pope Benedict yesterday walked out of an interfaith meeting in Jerusalem after the chief Islamic judge of the Palestinian Authority launched into an anti-Israeli diatribe.
The pontiff, on his first day in Jerusalem, did not realize at first that Sheikh Taysir al-Tamimi, speaking in Arabic, was condemning the "crimes of the Jewish state" and accusing Israel of having "slaughtered women, children and senior citizens."
But as soon as he was told the nature of the sheikh's tirade, he stood and left the meeting, which took place at Notre Dame church, before it had concluded.
It's not as if the organizers shouldn't have seen this coming: Back in 2000, Tamimi did the same thing during a visit by the late Pope John Paul II.
A spokesman for the Holy See later condemned the remarks, saying that

***Mark, you have posted a lot of accusations, but no indictment. Your posting don’t show the error of ANY Scripture quote I have posted. I have not interpreted anything. I have allowed God to speak through His Word. You have a problem with Paul, not me. ***
In the real world, this detachment from reality would have had you in a comfortable white jacket with straps in the rear. The indictment is there. You have claimed that the Church is not headed by Peter. I have proved it. You have claimed that your version of Scripture is correct and I have proved you wrong. You have claimed that the NT is the literal Word of God and I have proved that it is not so. You have claimed predestination to hell and I have been unable to find any Scripture that supports that.
Paul is not a problem. He is the second greatest Apostle; who led the evangelization of the Gentiles, picked by God, as the rest of the Apostles were, and yet as Peter instructed us, to be wildly misinterpreted by the apostate and the heretic. This is where you enter stage left.
***God doesn’t need your Pope to keep you straight. He doesn’t need a priest in a funny hat. He has a Spirit, and has made it clear where He is... and what He expects. ***
Correct. And since He has appointed the Church to be what it is, it might be good for those who claim to be Christian to accept the Word of Jesus (you know, in the Gospels) rather than their own version of Paul.
***Don’t blame me, Mark. Blame Paul as the liar, or blame your church for lying to you. ***
Paul is beyond reproach and so is the Church since one was created by God and one was recruited. That leaves only you.
Why don't you claim I have threatened you again. You got at least 5 or 6 posts out of that one...
Or, how about telling us all you know about Elim Bible Institute. You have made many slanderous remarks about it, but have offered no facts to base them on. Have you ever mtanybody from there?
Your attempts to deflect the errors of the Roman Catholic Church (the one in which you deny membership), cannot be overcome by slandering good men and women of God. I know these people personally, and you will need to check with your priest before you should add any more on that heap.
I do not expect to change your heart. It is as hard as steel. But, I do want to thank you and Mark. The others reading these posts can decide.
I don't hate Roman Catholics. I hate those who wish to enslave Christians with the Law. Jesus set us free from the Law, or didn't you get the message. With Him, it was completed, and fulfilled. Pete, you might wish to check with your priest about that word "fulfill".
John 3: 11I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaventhe Son of Man. 14Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

No. But I’ve never met anyone from Joel Osteen’s group either and I think that I can make a fair judgement from afar.

There is no deflection; there are no theological errors and there is no slandering of good people of God. There many here that cry Lord, Lord in the Pentecostal movement that proclaim their non Christian beliefs in a manner that dwarfs the LDS and their proclamations.
***I do not expect to change your heart. It is as hard as steel. But, I do want to thank you and Mark. The others reading these posts can decide. ***
I’m sure that they will. It will fall between those on the side of the Church and those on the side of the individual. Just remember those verses that I posted to you about that.

You may wish to check in with your navel or other navigational aid about the term ‘Judge’. The Lord Jesus Christ will Judge you. Do you have any idea on what He will Judge you on? Or are you of those (such as the Calvinists) that claim that they escape the particular Judgement?

Read ALL of my posts, and try to be more aware of the entire thread, and the other posts of the addressees, with particular regard for your brother pete's.
You can claim all the church exclusivity you wish, and claim all the righteous indignation. You can use perjoratives and slander me any way you wish. Fortunately, you reveal the Light of Christ in my Scripture quotes, and reveal your ignorant, but dedicated zeal...
Thanks...
John 3: 5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You[c] must be born again.' 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
Romans 3: 19Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
27Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. 28For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. 29Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law. - with Love, Jesus and Paul
The next time you post something threatening, I'll be sure to point it out.
Your attempts to deflect the errors of the Roman Catholic Church (the one in which you deny membership)...
I'm not a member of the "Roman Catholic Church." I worship in my local parish of the Catholic Church.
...or didn't you get the message. With Him, it was completed, and fulfilled.
Hmmmm. Do you think that means you're no longer need concern yourself with the Ten Commandments? Do you think that means you're free to kill, rape, steal, lie, etc.?
You should check out the HTML Sandbox. It would make your posts easier to read.
Romans 8: 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us allhow will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who diedmore than that, who was raised to lifeis at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."
4Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone.'"
5The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7So if you worship me, it will all be yours."
8Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'" ...

Ephesians 4: 1 ...As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spiritjust as you were called to one hope when you were called 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. ...
... 17So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.
20You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
25Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold. 28He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need. -with Love, Jesus and Paul
Ah, a non-answer answer.

8Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'"
The Pope's Vatican splendor... Nope, no "graven images" here. Move along!
Graven images?
Part of the Ten Commandments?
So what do you care?
All the men in that photo are doing just that.
Do you think that, because the devil offered Christ all the "authority and splendor" of "all the kingdoms of the world" therefore anything splendid is evil?
That can't be what you really think, can it?
8Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'"
I guess your Pope's got a better offer!
He is risen. Jesus is risen and is no longer on the cross...
You guess wrong.
It’s cool that you try, but don’t beat your head against that wall too long man - some people will NEVER have the brain power to understand AMDG
That can't be what you really think, can it?
Luke 16: 16"The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it*. 17It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law. ...

Romans 16: 25Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, 26but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him 27to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.
* the Law...
That’s good advice (that I’ve been getting from a lot of folks lately).
For me there’s a certain value in seeing these people post these things publicly.
