Actually, despite Rev. Wright, et. al. black Christian ministers have taken a very conservative tack on marriage. I know of working poor who won't have their wives work. That is the man's job.

Sadly, white conservatives cannot seem to get these same groups to cross over and vote with their beliefs and interests.

100% of the ones I know voted Obama.

If Sears is pro-marriage, and liberal on all else, she'd be the best pick we'll see out of this administration. Maybe she'll even be an anti-Souter...I know I am dreaming.

I expect Obama to cross us 95 times out of 100, but he may screw up once in a while and actually do something we like.

It would be a big surprise, but if he picked a decent person for the court, I’d be happy as a pig in mud.
