Unwed teen mom Bristol Palin did a turnabout Wednesday with her views on teen sex, saying abstinence is a realistic option for teenagers.....Johnston said he and Palin had used condoms but occasionally had slipped up. That's how Tripp was conceived, he said.

Lovely, very intelligent argument from a Palin supporter, guess it’s another 4 years for the big O.

She had regular sex with one guy. That isnt unusual after the first experience.

I've never heard any speculation about how many partners either of them had. They were sexually active. Period. Just like many other teens. I wouldn't assume much beyond that.

After the first time its not such a big deal and a lot of fun to boot. There's not much compelling reason not to go all the way with a new boyfriend if the first relationship goes sour. I am amazed at how early kids are sexually active.

If she's not sexually active now, its probably because she's not dating and exhausted from taking care of her baby. It just ties in with the agreement with the (Candies?) shoe sponsor for now.

I'm not judging her. She made her own choices and is living with the consequences. She took a chance she wouldn't get pregnant and it didn't work out that way. She's done nothing heroic or particularly unusual. As I said before, she should just slip into obscurity and be the best mother she can be to her child while developing an appreciation for having a loving family. Role model? I think not. Credible abstinence spokesman? I also think not.

*Johnston said he and Palin had used condoms but occasionally had slipped up.*

I like how “decided not to” means the same as “slipped up” now. It’s neat how the English language continues to evolve.

It did purify her in a way because if you watched the interview you couldn?t help but think she is a sweet and modest person, kinda like her Mom.

I had a baby at 17. I didn’t go on a abtenance tour! Guess what? I’m still sweet! Matter of fact I became more frisky and had 2 more!

Did it ever occur to you that his issue is what he said, of course not, instead, he is not conservative, he is some sort of a paid infiltrator to take out your precious one, who no one even knew existed a year ago. I am so happy to finally find out who the Universe revolves around.

Sarah Palin has more integrity in her right pinky finger than the entire Obama administration combined.

do not insult her.

You might want to take care of your own bunch.

L Ron Paul was supported by Marxist Cindy Sheehan in his campaign

and his clone Mark Sanford belongs to a church which supports gay marriage & has gays for bishops.

and Mitt Romney couldn’t fill a phone booth for a crowd.

I’m sorry but all of the intelligent arguments here have certified a Dem win in 4 years. One guy threatens me with a cattle prod, another is in gay hysteria, the rest are doing the Sarah chant! You guys are laughable!:)

Nobody, there are no worthwhile candidates out there yet, hopefully in 4 years this changes, until then wait and see.

Do you notice that on most homepages of FReepers against Gov. Palin, they have just their screen name and signup date.

No state flag, no mention of who they support or where they come from with their views.

Either they are ashamed of where they live and who they support or are scared sh**less, afraid of being challenged

Now that is a safe reply as not to be challenged.
Who do you think would make the best candidate and could get over 50% of the vote?

Have I missed something, I haven’t noticed any presidential campaigns going on. I pretty sure the presidential election is every 4 years. Who are the candidates? and where are they hiding?

Especially with a cattle prod! Now that is a challenge on a lower plain than I am used to!
