Unwed teen mom Bristol Palin did a turnabout Wednesday with her views on teen sex, saying abstinence is a realistic option for teenagers.....Johnston said he and Palin had used condoms but occasionally had slipped up. That's how Tripp was conceived, he said.

The baby boomers allowed the decline to start while they were focused on having fun. They allowed the socialists to take control of the education system. They allowed many of the problems we have today to fester.
And now they are moving on to social security so we can support them and the huge debt they helped rack up.
Talking about Sarah, leave the kid alone.
What agenda do you see? I want a conservative in the white house, but it is not going to be Palin, the family is a soap opera.
Is that a personal attack again??
No one here is calling her a saint. People are acknowledging she made a mistake and is now trying to learn from it bny helping others not make the same one. You are doing tons of projecting here. And you sound a little ‘off’ too. Perhaps decaf will help.
I have heard that Rush Limbaugh also gets paid.
The “kid” flip flopped on her abstinence stance. She was against it before she was for it.
Ok Mr. Perfect, look in the mirror.
Wow. Thats interesting you would say that. I don’t think herding goats was their only requirement. Any study of ancient history would show that their ability to learn (including memorizing entire books of knowledge because, lo and behold, not many books were available, and most could not read, yet the faith and much knowledge was handed down via word of mouth and memorization)was not less. Most of what kids learn in schools today is irrelevant or an outright lie.
What is most important is teaching them, as was done in all previous generations EXCEPT this one is how to be good citizens, faithful, moral, and productive. It was expected that they would learn to do the things that made that possible. Goat herding was one of those things, but so where all the things I mentioned above. Since we have expected none of those things from kids today, we have gotten exactly what we expected. I expected my kids to do better, and they did not disappoint. I gave them the tools they needed, not the tools the schools mandated and found it not only possible, but quite simple. Kids will kill themselves trying to please you, so set the bar HIGH. They will also become lazy and complacent if you lower the bar, and a vicious downward spiral will ensue.
I am not saying they never made a bad choice, far from it. But my job was to redirect and keep the bar high. While it took a few tries to get over it sometimes, they did it. The age for adulthood has not gone up, our expectations for our children has gone down even with all the knowledge they have at their fingertips. It is not good to make excuses, although for many it is easier than making changes......
“but it is not going to be Palin, the family is a soap opera.”
The family is a family. Its only a soap opera because the left has made it so. Along with some willing participants from the right.
Nobody could stand up under the scrutiny the Palin’s have had.
Abstinence is a realistic choice if you know without a doubt that the other option is certain death at the hands of your father. Worked for me!
‘I have heard that Rush Limbaugh also gets paid.”
And here I thought those “obscene profit breaks” were just a slogan.
Rush wasn’t a teenage mother who went out and flip flopped on an abstinence stance in order to get paid as the Teen Ambassador for The Candie’s Foundation as an example of “bad judgment” for other teenagers. All of this coming about because she has a high profile mother and screwed around in high school. Rush is a talk show host that became rich on his abilities.
OK
So what She is not running for PUBLIC OFFICE. Have a little tolerance it goes a long way. On second thought your type of tolerance I don’t want. You would probably be for stoning the young women.
Ditto
It does make more of an impact when someone they can relate to says, “Look. This is why you shouldn’t.” It stops being a lecture and becomes a real life example.
PKB!
“Abstinence is a realistic choice if you know without a doubt that the other option is certain death at the hands of your father. Worked for me”
Abstinenc is a realistic choice period.
The threat of death is not a joke and a fathers judgement only works for girls that care. Sex is pushed because it supports the breakdown of the family and fuels the abortion industry.
So you abandon conservative principles in favor of MSM spin. Nice. We need more conservatives just like you. /s
