Has anyone figured out yet how Johnson, with a drug addict mom, is paying for his high-profile (Obama enthusiast) lawyer?

You have something against making money? She probably needs it to care for the child.

Most people who go on any speaking tours, have their expenses paid for. This could easily constitute "being paid." But aside from that, I always wonder about the conservative bona fides of anyone who seems to think that earning money is evil. Most of us "sell" our knowledge, often based on experience, for money. In fact, it seems to me that just about everyone in a capitalist system does.

I don’t necessarily think Sarah Palin is our strongest candidate, but attacking her because of her daughter is pretty classless.

Seems like the kind of thing a person might do if they have an ulterior motive.

What happened to the “experience” and “bad judgment” and “can’t pick your family” argument”? Sounds like you’re being awfully judgmental. The other side of this coin is that he is the father of that child. She chose him to be the father of her child. She knew he didn’t have a job.

“The other side of this coin is that he is the father of that child. She chose him to be the father of her child. She knew he didn’t have a job.’

yep its highly unusual for teenagers to make mistakes. HIGHLY UNUSUAL I SAY!!!!

She didn’t choose him to be the father, she chose him to sleep with not thinking a child would result.

Another benefit of the promiscuity taught in our schools and media. Thank the baby boomers for this great setup they left us.

Just don’t hold her out as Saint Bristol. If this were anyone else you all would be besides yourself with moral indignity. Just as you are with the father of her child.

might I also suggest one other thing. Teaching responsibility in the sexual arena is one thing; making them understand it is another.

Kids today tend to be overindulged in ways that parents seem to think is their duty. We think we owe them everything because we gave birth to them and this is a mistake. Don’t you think all parents want their kids to have everything and love them best? Sure, we all do, but is it a good lesson? NO!

I have provided my kids with food, clothing, shelter, and love. They have had pretty good Christmases as well. We did not however, allow them to have things they felt they were entitled to. If they want a cell phone, a car (even their drivers license) they had to have a job, and be able to pay for it themselves. My insurance went up because they got their drivers license, they pay. They pay their cell phone bill. They pay for gas if they want to take the car, forget getting their own car. They pay for their schooling if they cannot get scholarships for grades.

It causes them to learn responsibility, as well as appreciate and care for what they have. They also have no delusions about the way they see other people live (like all the “reality tv” shows depict). While I am at times considered the meanest mother in the world (which is a GOOD thing; your kids will have enough friends, they NEED parents) I have also been thanked by them now that they see where their indulged friends they were so jealous of are now.

Wisdom is impossible to impart through indulgence, hence all the scripture pertaining to it.......

Today, you have to learn a lot more than how to herd goats. Ergo, the natural age of socially functional adulthood has gone up.

The point is that she will stick by her principles

A flip-flop is hardly a good start for someone who will supposedly "stick by her principles".

What’s next, Keith Richards is going to come out and say you shouldn’t do drugs?

Followed by Joe Biden saying you shouldn't plaigarize and Dan Quayle on the importance of good spelling.
