You’ve hit the nail on the head — all sinners are welcome because we all qualify. The POINT of that exercise is to join with other sinners on our way to salvation. Each sins if by nothing other than our fallen nature. Those of us who have received the Lord and made him our “center” are NOT consciously trying to sin.
Each church has it’s rules and regs. If you “join” one, you tacitly say, “I agree to follow them.” If you are not “one” with the RC Church, you aren’t “joined”. IF the rules say no “deviation” from the norm — then don’t expect to come and deviate. It’s really simple, people need help to make more out of it than there is.
I took some courses led by the pastor for potential new members. He said, something..and I can’t quote him here, my mind is a blank. But my answer was “Christians feel GUILT when they sin”. He said I was right.... So to witness a self-professed church to sin, is just heart wrenching.
I have a terrible issue with knowing the fact that there are so many denominations, interpretations etc., it’s a RISK to go to any IMHO. Not sure how to get past that.
Reposting this with CG’s name after nachums..cuz it happened again. ???
