Caroline may have an even bigger battle on her hands as Ted Kennedy fights brain cancer........Among those said to be vying for the post are Ted's wife, Victoria, and Joseph Kennedy, oldest son of Robert. According to a friend, Joe has "long resented Caroline, whom he views as haughty....and is suspicious and envious of Ted's fawning over Caroline," and he "loathes" Victoria's control over his uncle, the book says. Joe held the Congressional seat once held by JFK for over a decade and was considered a shoo-in for governor until he was felled by scandal a decade ago.
