Interesting unsolved case in the SF Bay Area for 40-some years. Others claim they know who it is/was but I haven't seen or heard a specific I.D. until now. A documentary also is in the works adding doubt to speculation.
Anyone else have a clue?

Privately, some investigators wondered if the timing of Perez's announcement - publicized by Hollywood PR agent Edward Lozzi, renowned for dating the late Anna Nicole Smith - had something to do with a documentary on her story that she is hoping to finish soon. DUH

Is she confessing to being an accomplice?

How could a 47 year old woman from the San Francisco area not know about the Zodiac Killer? Heck I am from the Milwaukee area and knew who Dhamer was right when the story broke and I was only 6 years old at the time.

“Is she confessing to being an accomplice?”
Sure seems like it; but as she was seven years old at the time, there’s probably not much the authorities can do about it ...
To: LukeL
I wasn’t even born when the Zodiac killer was around, and I have heard of him! He’s pretty well known.

She’s got a book or a movie in the works, IMO.
The police are still waiting for her to produce the glasses she said she has.

That’s my point, The Zodiac killer is probably the most famous at large serial killer in US history, right up there with the Orignal Night Stalker. She would have to be very very stupid not to know about him.

al baby,
Such skepticism?
To: Drango
Dad was not the Zodiac, second daughter insists Turns out Perez (the woman in the article) is his step daughter, brought to the U.S. with her mother by Henderson. His real daughter has some fairly goofy reasons for denying Perez' story. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Those murders happened over the course of several years. If she assisted him at these murders, she should be investigated until it can be determined the best way to proceed. If what she says is true, then her actions during the intervening time needs to be investigated. A child exposed to this would likely grow up to do the same thing.

Wake me when she produces some his “trophies”. If she can come up with Paul Stines then I will pay attention.

The guy was a serial killer in his 50’s? And the girl wrote a letter to Melvin Belli when she was seven?

We were staying with my grandparents in the L.A. area during his killing spree, and I was scared to death! He actually killed someone in my great-grandma's town, and I had to spend a weekend with her, because she had just had surgery. I made my parents come pick me up the second day!

Poor, sheltered woman. She’s probably never heard of Charles Manson either.
